Nexo VPN Privacy Policy
Nexo VPN ("we", "us", "our", or "the app") provides encrypted VPN connectivity. Optional messaging functionality is available through the Telegram API.
This Privacy Policy explains how Nexo VPN handles information when you use the app.
VPN Service Usage
Nexo VPN uses Android's VpnService API to establish an encrypted VPN tunnel between your device and our VPN tunnel endpoint.
The VPN service is used to provide secure connectivity and help protect your network traffic. Nexo VPN does not inspect, modify, redirect, or sell traffic from other apps on your device. We do not use VPN traffic for advertising, traffic manipulation, or monetization.
Data transmitted through the VPN tunnel is encrypted between your device and the VPN tunnel endpoint.
Information We Collect and Use
We use the following third-party services to operate, improve, secure, and, where applicable, support the app through advertising:
- Google Play services
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Google AdMob
These services may process limited information such as device and app identifiers, device information, app interactions, diagnostics, crash logs, and advertising-related information. Their processing is subject to their respective privacy policies.
Advertising
Nexo VPN may display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may process device identifiers and app interaction data to provide, measure, and improve advertising. Where required by law, we request your consent before showing personalized advertising.
Optional Messaging Features
Optional messaging functionality in Nexo VPN is powered by the Telegram API. Use of this feature is not required to use the VPN service.
We do not receive or store your Telegram password or private messages on our own servers. Telegram account and message data are handled through Telegram's infrastructure and are subject to Telegram's policies.
Location Data
If you choose to share your location through the optional messaging feature, the location is included in the message content and shared only with the recipients you select through Telegram.
Crash and Diagnostic Data
If the app crashes or encounters an error, Firebase Crashlytics may collect diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, app configuration, crash details, and usage timestamps. We use this information to identify and fix technical issues.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data Deletion
Nexo VPN does not create a separate user account for the VPN service.
If you use the optional messaging feature, Telegram account deletion and Telegram-related data management are handled by Telegram. You can manage or delete your Telegram account at:
Deleting a Telegram account is handled by Telegram and may be irreversible.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
