In an effort to answer the burning question that nobody asked, PornHub recently released the top three most searched for words state to state in the U.S. The results have been enlightening, yet horrifying.
Big surprise all around when it came to the word "anal" -- it's something that apparently the kids just aren't into anymore! Only two states included it in their top three porn searches.
While #3 in Oklahoma, the mountain men of Montana apparently enjoy pulling the ol' Axel Foley slightly more at #2. We'd say it's a regional thing, but considering how far apart those states are, it must be the wide-open American landscapes that are making people want to stick it in the butt.
While there's nothing wrong with loving robust women, it is odd that West Virginia, for one reason or another, is the only state specifically lusting after big, beautiful women -- or "BBW," as it's called in the trade. Meanwhile, their neighbors Kentucky and Virginia are the only two states that consider watching hentai their #1 go-to for tugging it. Between the three states, it's like some Bermuda Triangle of Appalachian masturbation.
Ever hear of the Czech porn star Anita Queen? Because apparently Nevada has -- as she happens to be the #1 most searched for keyword in that state, and ONLY that state.

Good for them, right? But what's strange isn't just that only California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Washington rank Asian porno in either their #1 or #2 spot; it's that they are the only states that even mention our friends from the East.
It's as if, since they just happen to be closer in proximity to Asian countries, they are the only ones sitting around without pants thinking about what naked life is like in Asia. You'd at least think the hentai-loving hill people would be thinking the same thing, but you'd be wrong.
With Asians topping Hawaii's charts at #1, the most bizarre thing about this state is that its #2 spot has to be the single saddest porn query anyone would ever type in a search bar:
That's right: Hawaii's second most used porn search keyword is "Hawaii" -- something that doesn't happen for any other state. That means that either the people of Hawaii are so isolated that they are hoping to find boobs that they could perhaps drive to or Hawaii is just so beautiful, you could pleasure yourself to climax to the mere sight of their lush archipelago.
When roughly one-ninth of your state could explode at any second, there's no shame in wanting to live a little -- but Wyoming is like no other in that its dark sexual desires happen to clash with the rest of the world in such a specifically odd way that we're wondering if they might be adopted.
Yep, that's "smoking" as in "smoking a cigarette" and not "smoking because you fell into a geyser and have no skin." This is what sends the cowboy state up the wall with lust -- as well as something called "BRCC," or "back room casting couch." Basically it's fake casting sessions where people do it on a couch -- otherwise known as a damn good reason never to pick up a pleather loveseat off the side of the road in Wyoming.
Meanwhile, next door, Idahoans apparently have a thing for "parody" porn -- once again, something that no other state shares. We're guessing that either they spent their pubescent years watching Airplane belly down on a shag carpet or the sulfur is just fucking with everyone within a 200-mile radius of Yellowstone.
It's time to wrap up, folks -- and while you're no doubt shifty-eyeing your national constituents as we speak, the final reminder is that no matter if it's old couches, pornos starring Batman and the Brady Bunch, or even places where poop comes from, you can rest assured that we'll all take at least 10 minutes to get off to it:

A Manhattan congressional candidate has released an online porn video starring himself in a bid to highlight his “sex positive” political platform.
Long-odds, third-party hopeful Mike Itkis — who’s expected to lose to Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler in New York’s 12th District — posted the steamy, 13-minute sex tape with adult movie star Nicole Sage.
Politicians usually want to cover up their sex tapes — but Itkis said he put it out to prove he’s truly excited about legalizing sex work.
“If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue,” he told City & State . “And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.”
He said he posted the video, titled “Bucket List Bonanza,” to a popular porn website as “a conversation piece.”
The footage of him making whoopie with Sage — who bills herself as “a slutty girl from New Mexico” — was his first time having sex on camera, he said.
“I’m very much an introvert,” he said. “I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important.”
“I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way,” he said.
Itkis’ campaign page states his background as “Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist” and says he is dedicated to making sexual rights explicit by “ending adultery laws” and “decriminalizing and legalizing sex work.”
He also appears to target child support payments, writing that “men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement.”
The Nadler campaign declined to comment to City & State on the sizzling sex tape. But Itkis’ Republican opponent said he understood the urge to seek attention amid a hot political race.
“You gotta do what you gotta do,” Mike Zumbluskas said.

Most of us are watching porn, whether or not we admit it. But aren't you tired of (or maybe even troubled by) just doing the same old thing to get off online over and over again?
If you're wondering why you've become so bored by the widely accessible mainstream porn that just seems to keep doing more of the same, Pornhub and its parent company MindGeek deserves part of the blame. As does Xvideos, the most-viewed porn site, which is owned by WGCZ. But don't worry, there are porn and erotica alternatives that can upgrade your self-love sessions.
For years now, MindGeek has been accused of monopolistic dominance in the porn industry. In addition to Pornhub, it owns RedTube, YouPorn, Xtube, Brazzers, Reality Kings, and many more. MindGeek disputes that characterization, with representative Michael Willis pointing to viewership data that shows its sites aren't alone among the most popular porn sites (it owns three in the top 10 and seven in the top 100). Still, MindGeek has a vast amount of power and influence over porn industry actors and producers. Its biggest competitor, WGCZ, keeps a low-profile and camouflages its network of brands (contact information for WGCZ wasn't immediately available).
"We don’t dispute that MindGeek properties drive considerable traffic, but to say it drives a disproportionate volume of traffic is not accurate," Willis said over email.
Take that as you will. Monopolies are, of course, bad for consumers, workers, and antithetical to healthy competition. Just look at the hullabaloo on Capitol Hill over Big Tech.
Free porn sites (aka "tube" sites) often rely on profiting off of widespread piracy , making it near impossible for performers to earn a living. MindGeek spends nearly $2 million to combat piracy, according to TechCrunch , "though that would amount to less than half a percent of the company’s 2015 revenue ." Blake White, Pornhub's vice president, added in an emailed statement that the site removes copies of videos that have been fingerprinted — a free service that acts as a digital watermark — and works to remove pirated content featuring its partners from other tube sites.
Accusations of monopoly and piracy aside, MindGeek, Pornhub, and Xvideos are, to varying degrees, linked to troubling legal allegations.
In January, a judge awarded $13 million to 22 women who accused porn producer Girls Do Porn of tricking and coercing them into performing. Girls Do Porn had been affiliated with Pornhub and Xvideos. While Pornhub took Girls Do Porn's channel down in October, after federal prosecutors charged Girls Do Porn owners and employees with sexual trafficking, its page is still up on Xvideos. (The criminal case is ongoing and the civil suit was initially filed in 2016.)
Separately, in 2018, adult performer Nikki Benz sued MindGeek for sexual battery. (Los Angeles prosecutors declined to press criminal charges. ) MindGeek's Willis wouldn't comment on the lawsuit.
Ethical porn, which focuses on performers' rights, consent, and safety, has become an increasingly discussed issue in the industry. Unfortunately, there's really no such thing as guaranteed ethical free porn in the way that tube sites provide it.
Aside from most perpetuating the same problems described above, there's also little industry transparency, accountability, or credible information available. It's basically industry whistleblowers feeling as though they sacrifice their careers to speak up or journalists shedding light on abuses like those alleged against Girls Do Porn.
Yet the reality is free porn isn't going anywhere (for now), and some tube sites can be more ethical than others. New business models are emerging that provide free clips with the explicit permission of performers and creators.
Trying out alternatives to Pornhub and Xvideos is about so much more than just ethics, though. There are whole worlds of unique NC-17 content just waiting to be explored, perfect for both aficionados and newcomers. There are sites with artsy high productions, the down and dirty kinky, genuine amateurs, personalized experiences with stars, and an underrated category of erotica that isn't just video porn.
The gist: Categorizing itself as a feminist porn site, Bellesa provides ethical free porn through a partnership program, with curated and relatively lengthy (typically at least 10 minutes long) free clips directly from the creators. That includes videos from their own in-house studio too, Bellesa Films, which you can pay to see in full . There's also user-submitted erotica, articles on sexual health, and a built-in sex toy shop.
Best for: Beginners or those with more softcore, women-friendly, sex-positive tastes that are on a budget and don't like to waste too much time searching getting off.
Ethics: While initially criticized for perpetuating the pirated porn issues, its partnership program introduced a viable model for ethical free porn to the industry.
The gist: This performer-oriented platform is all about creating a space where free porn helps instead of hurts content creators. With a format that spotlights performers who are usually just starting out and trying to make a name for themselves, it includes only the free clips they offer, from interviews to previews to full videos.
Best for: Ethically-minded budgeters who put favorite performers above preferences for a specific category or type of content.
Ethics: Innovating one of the most viable ethical free porn models ever, MVTube not only serves as a promotional tool for newcomers to build a loyal following, but also provides 67 cents for every 1,000 views. To boot, it includes inclusive categories that are much more queer-friendly than your typical tube site.
The gist: An unexpected haven of ethical and free communal horniness, the "front page of the internet" has an abundance of thriving porn subreddits. Amateur lovers rejoice, because there's something for absolutely everyone in r/realgirls , r/girlsinlove , r/girlsgonewild , r/gonewild , and r/gonewildtrans .
