It takes the total amount of cocaine appearing on NSW beaches over the past week to approximately kg, according to police. The package count started when a member of the public spotted a brick at Magenta in the Central Coast on Friday night. A follow up search on Saturday uncovered three more parcels, with three found at Manly, Avoca and Blacksmiths beaches. Approximately kg of cocaine has allegedly been discovered on shorelines since Friday. Police said the recovered packages had 'significant barnacle growth' covering the outer plastic wrapping, and have warned the public against removing or opening any more that are discovered.
