Ardern confirmed that everything from dating to sex parties is back on the table.
New Zealand residents got an unexpected early Christmas present, when the country’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions now allows for orgies of up to 25 people.
According to Ardern , the ‘traffic light system,’ which is being used as New Zealand slowly rolls back harsh COVID-19 restrictions, would allow for the most intimate of gatherings.
Prime Minister Ardern confirmed that everything from dating to sex parties is back on the table. “I can confirm that Tinder liaisons have reopened,” she said, adding, “it’s not strictly embedded in the traffic light system but um, it is a given, up to 25 actually, in a red area.”
New Zealand moved to a traffic light system with freedoms based on whether people live in red, amber or green areas. The decision came despite global fears about the Omicron variant, which partially evades vaccine-induced immunity.
New Zealand has had some of the strictest COVID-19 restrictions in the world during the pandemic and retains tough border curbs. Ardern has said the authorities are working hard to avoid introducing the Omicron variant into the country.

*Only if you’re vaccinated. This was to try and tease people who only have natural immunity and/or are not vaccinated. “Oh. You’re STILL not vaccinated? That’s such a shame! We are just having SO much fun and laughing it up over here!”
I mean this is obvious right?

Sharing information and stories is the best way to stimulate the imagination and enrich our lives.
According to an international sex survey taken 4
years ago, New Zealand was placed ninth in the world, just ahead of Italy, for
the number of yearly sexual encounters per person. Surprisingly, Greece came in
first with 164 encounters a year. New Zealanders managed 122 partners per
person per year.
From roadside couplings around conservative
Palmerston North, to beach fun in the northern city of Whangarei, Kiwis like
going outdoors for a bit of lovemaking during the warm summer months.
I chatted to a couple of German backpackers in
their 20s while we rolled our way on the ferry across Cook Strait. The
conversation was memorable because they mentioned one of the main attractions
for them while travelling around New Zealand was the ease in finding secluded outdoor
places to have sex. They particularly liked the South Island because the lack
of population coupled with the spectacular scenery made outdoor sex exciting
and memorable for them.
Market research company, Colmar Brunton surveyed
more than 1000 Kiwis about their sexual encounters. They wanted to know hot
spots and the times of year that Kiwis are most likely to engage in sex. The
survey revealed that 44% of New Zealanders have had sex in a public place while
12% would like to. (The same percentage of young Parisians has also had sex
outdoors. So Kiwis are as sexually uninhibited as those who live in the French
‘city of love’) 52% had also had a one night stand, with the city of Hamilton
taking out the top spot for one night stands. One in two people in that city
admitted to having engaged in public sex. It was also revealed that 15% of
Kiwis around the country have had sex in a public toilet. Like all public sex,
it is the risk of being caught that adds excitement to the activity. According
to the survey, 45% have more sex while on holiday then they usually have at
home due to a change of environment and routine.
The survey ranked beaches as one of the top spots
for outdoor sex, with nearly half of all those surveyed revealing they have
engaged in some sandy fun. At the top of the country in Northland, also known
as the ‘winterless north’ 56% of respondents said they enjoyed sex on a beach
at least once over the previous year.
Further south in the dairy region of the Waikato,
62% of participants from the area claimed they have had sex in a tent, and 51%
of those from other regions confessing to the same. Tents were not all pitched
near beaches. There are many areas around New Zealand from bush to rolling
fields where a tent can be set up away from prying eyes for some hanky panky
(as the German couple pointed out to me on the ferry)
Sex in a vehicle also ranked surprisingly high in
the survey with 63% of Kiwis admitted to pulling the car over to the side of a
quiet road for a quick bonk. A staggering 74% of Palmerston North inhabitants
confessed to having ‘done it’ in a car at least once. In fact, this quiet North
Island city produced more surprising results with 21% of the inhabitants
claiming they engaged in sex in a public toilet, compared to15% across the rest
of the country.
Other interesting facts presented by the survey
included one in four Kiwis have more sex in summer and 46% have more sex on
weekends. 12% of New Zealanders have had sex at a summer music festival with Hamilton
being the festival sex capital! In fact, an impressive 20% of Hamiltonians have
had sex at a festival. New Year’s Eve inspires one in seven Kiwis to have sex
as part of the celebrations. And here is another interesting discovery from the
survey – 8% of respondents from the Hawkes Bay region which includes the cities
of Napier and Hastings, reported having had sex on a plane. Finally, one in
four Kiwis are more likely to have sex on their birthday than a normal day.
Happy birthday dear readers!!!

THERE’S one country in the world universally agreed to be the best place to work as a prostitute. It’s closer than you might think.
NEW Zealand. Home of the long white cloud, the Lord of the Rings and, apparently, the best working conditions for prostitutes on the planet.
Sex workers across the ditch sign contracts, get paid weekly, work for bosses who keep their best interests at heart and have a relationship with police that Australian prostitutes can only dream of. Prostitution is even covered under occupational health and safety laws.
It’s not pot luck that New Zealand prostitutes have it better. It can all be traced to a single piece of legislation that passed through parliament in 2003 — the Prostitution Reform Act.
The decision 12 years ago to decriminalise sex work meant it became legal to work in managed brothels without a size limit, work for yourself, work from home, work from the street or work from the web.
In Wellington, a brothel named Bon Ton is spoken of as “the Holy Grail”. The eight women who work there told documentary makers this week that “everybody’s in a good mood” and that, “hand on heart”, they love what they do.
The Bon Ton website promises sophisticated and elegant escorts and offers the “Exclusive Girlfriend Experience”. But the staff get as much out of it as the clients do.
Catherine Healey, national co-ordinator for the New Zealand Prostitutes’ Collective, told news.com.au New Zealand is the best place in the world to work in the sex industry.
She said the legislative framework in NZ is regarded worldwide as the most effective.
“We’ve effectively allowed sex workers more control over what they choose to do,” she said.
“It’s really important to have as many options as possible and to be able to work wherever one wants — we’ve avoided a monopoly scenario and it keeps exploitation in check.”
Ms Healey said sex workers now feel completely comfortable reporting clients to police if they are abusive, threatening or unable to pay their bills.
“My memory is very long and it goes back to the days when police lectured a sex worker. I can well recall sex workers who didn’t report to police,” she said.
“Things have changed significantly since then. I remember a time when a client didn’t pay and police arrived and escorted him to the ATM to withdraw the money.
“We had three murders in Christchurch a decade ago and police said the cooperation from women in the industry was the only reason they solved the crimes.”
Australia, like much of the rest of the world, is lagging behind.
New South Wales is the only other place in the world where prostitution is decriminalised, though street based sex work is still heavily restricted. Every other state and territory has its own laws and in many Australian cities prostitution remains illegal.
Janelle Fawkes from the Scarlett Alliance Sex Workers Association said it was time the rest of the country caught up.
“Decriminalisation is recognised by the United Nations Secretary General, United Nations Population Fund, UNAIDS and sex worker communities globally as the best model for delivering sex worker occupational health and safety, industrial and human rights as well as good public health outcomes,” Ms Fawkes said.
“Decriminalisation means that sex industry businesses are regulated like other businesses, subject to existing regulatory mechanisms such as local council planning and zoning regulations.”
Ms Healey agreed something needed to change in Australia, though she was hesitant to offer advice to her neighbours.
“Far be it for a New Zealander to tell an Australian what to do but it’s fair to say that if Australia decriminalised prostitution the sky would still be blue the following day”.
The popular personality recently discovered she’s one of only 5 per cent of all women who experience this rare act in the bedroom.
There’s one habit that we’re all guilty of – and it’s killing our sex lives. But there’s an easy solution, says Jana Hocking.
Researchers discovered this secret hack to the female orgasm decades ago, but Nadia Bokody says few men are aware of it.
