A former high school softball coach in Ohio has pleaded guilty to sexual battery involving a teen student.

Ashley Rison, 31, who also worked as a teacher's aide at New Miami High School, also pleaded guilty Wednesday to gross sexual imposition.

Prosecutors said that Rison engaged in sexual conduct with a student multiple times before she was reported.

"It was discovered she was in a car with the [victim] and observed and it went from there," Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser tells PEOPLE.

Authorities had "recordings between Ms. Rison and the child of where Ms. Rison makes multiple incriminating statements in asking, begging the child not to report her to the authorities," Butler County Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan previously said, WXIX reported.

Rison had been employed with the New Miami Local School Board since 2015. She resigned in May of 2021, WXIX reported.

"Every prosecutor that I have ever known, and in every state I have ever dealt with, takes cases involving teachers and students very seriously with respect to sexual conduct and contact," says Gmoser.

He adds: "We are dealing with impressionable young minds, and along time comes an adult who takes advantage of them. We take all felonies seriously but I think we add a little extra seriousness to these positions-of-trust type offenses. Prosecutors can hold these people accountable to let them know we take this seriously."

Rison is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 16, the Journal-News reported.

MONTGOMERY, Texas - A teenager became "one" with a chew toy after he accidentally swallowed it and— as you might assume— started squeaking.
Mary Serrano of Montgomery, Texas, said her 13-year-old son Jonathan was chewing on a dog toy to be annoying. The mother jokingly made a slapping gesture with a soda bottle. As her son ducked, he swallowed the whistle part of the toy.
Serrano then took her son to two different hospitals after he started squeaking.
While they waited in the emergency room at Conroe Regional Hospital, Serrano recorded a video of her son who kept squeaking as he could not contain his laughter.
Doctors were able to remove the toy, using a scope.
"Long story short, this was not fun for him because he missed a very important camping trip with Boy Scouts that he was very much looking forward to," she told Storyful.

Two-thirds of U.S. teenagers and young adults ages 15 to 24 have had oral sex, according to U.S. researchers who say people in this group may mistakenly feel it’s less risky than vaginal intercourse.
This is the first time researchers asked young people about the timing of oral sex relative to vaginal intercourse, according to Thursday’s findings by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention . According to the report, it is important to understand sexual activities of young people to help educate them about the risks.
The study, based on 6,346 interviews that followed behaviour from 2007 to 2010, determined that 66 per cent of females and 65 per cent of males had experienced oral sex.
About 25 per cent of both genders had oral sex at least once before they had vaginal intercourse for the first time, the survey found.
“Research suggests that adolescents perceive fewer health-related risks for oral sex compared with vaginal intercourse,” wrote the authors. “However, young people, particularly those who have oral sex before their first vaginal intercourse, may still be placing themselves at risk of STIs or HIV before they are ever at risk of pregnancy.”
About 28 per cent of females and 27 per cent of males had had no kind of sex, according to the Atlanta-based agency.
The percentage of teenagers who have had vaginal sex dropped from 51 per cent in 1988 to 43 per cent in the period from 2006 to 2010, the report revealed. Condom use increased, according to the report, though the rate of sexually transmitted diseases remained about the same.
In 2010, half of new sexually transmitted infections occurred in people ages 15 to 24. Oral sex can transmit chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhea and syphilis, according to the report.
Though the researchers asked about whether oral sex preceded vaginal intercourse, they didn’t ask at what age the noncoital activity took place, so the amount of time between first oral sex and vaginal intercourse can’t be determined.
About 8 per cent of females and 13 per cent of males ages 15 to 17 had oral sex without vaginal intercourse; those numbers were lower among older teenagers, with about 6 per cent of females and 7 per cent of males who were 18 to 19 reporting oral sex without coitus.
The younger a girl was when she had vaginal intercourse for the first time, the more likely it was that she experienced oral sex afterward, the survey found.
White teenagers were most likely to experience oral sex before vaginal intercourse, with 49 per cent of those surveyed saying they had oral sex first. In contrast, 37 per cent of Hispanic young adults had oral sex first, and 27 per cent of black kids.
