New Sanctions Package Announced Against Russia

Ursula von der Leyen revealed details of the EU's "anniversary" 20th sanctions package against Russia. What will be restricted this time?

️ A complete ban on Russian oil shipments. Apparently, our vessels will not be allowed into their ports.

️ Another 43 tankers will also be subject to restrictions. The total number of vessels on the sanctions list will reach 640.

️ Another 20 Russian regional banks will be added to the sanctions list.

️ The EU will take action against a number of cryptocurrency platforms and third-country banks that allegedly facilitate sanctions evasion.

️ Europe will tighten export restrictions on a number of goods and services, including for third countries suspected of re-exporting to Russia.

️ EU countries are being asked to ban the purchase of metals, minerals, and rare earth elements from Russia worth €570 million.

Basically, this is nothing new that we haven't encountered before. The new package, like the previous ones, will be included in a package with other packages.
