New Minecraft Launcher Starts With A Grey Screen

System Restore is your first line of defense and can bring you back to a time before a problem began as a time machine. Minecraft Server List is possible to undo it in the event that it isn't working. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this began. Try it now in the event that System Restore isn't enabled on C drive in order to enable it in the near future.

If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...

Even if you've already tried the these steps Please repeat them in order:

1) Run the Store app troubleshooter from Settings>> Update and Security Troubleshoot.

2) Search for and install game updates on Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots at the top right) > Updates.

3) Reset Minecraft in Windows Settings > Applications > Applications and Features > Minecraft > Advanced Option > Repair or Reset. Restart your computer and try again.

If all of these fail If none of these work, remove Minecraft from Settings, reboot your computer, and then install MS Store Hub (three dots in the upper right corner of the Store app).

4) The driver for the Display is so crucial that updating it is sometimes not enough. Let's try everything to make sure it's working properly:

Update the Display driver via the PC or the Display adapter maker's Support Downloads web page for your exact model number, HP Serial Number or Dell Service Tag - found on the sticker on the PC.

While there check also for newer chipset BIOS/UEFI firmware (very vital), network and sound, USB3 and other drivers, comparing to the ones that are currently installed in Device Manager, which can be accessed by right clicking on the Start Menu.

If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...

Display issues can be fixed by rolling back or uninstalling the driver on the Display Device > Driver tab. Then restart your computer to install the driver.

You can also test older drivers by going to Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver> Browse > Let me Choose.

This will inform you that you've explored all options in addition to Windows Update drivers.

You can adjust the resolution of your screen until it appears good. Go to Settings > System > Display.

5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I hope this helps. You can ask any questions and keep me updated. If you don't rate my post, I will continue to work with you until the issue is solved.
