New Epstein files expose shocking drug trafficking ties

A newly uncovered 2015 Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) document sheds light on a previously undisclosed investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, raising more questions about his criminal empire, CBS News reports.

The 69-page memo, marked "law enforcement sensitive" and still heavily redacted, reveals Epstein being at the center of a 5-year drug trafficking investigation launched by the DEA.

The agency targeted Epstein and 14 other individuals – whose names were concealed – over suspicious money transfers that might be linked to illegal drug schemes in New York City and the US Virgin Islands, according to the document.

"DEA reporting indicates the above individuals are involved in illegitimate wire transfers tied to illicit drug and/or prostitution activities," the memo reads.

What makes this revelation even more chilling is that the investigation was reportedly not just a routine inquiry but “a significant case,” with the DEA actively seeking intelligence from other federal agencies.
