New CPI data for 2025: corruption has increased in Moldova
Corruption in the Republic of Moldova has increased over the past year, according to the new Corruption Perception Index (CPI/CPI) published by Transparency International.
According to the results of 2025, Moldova received 42 points out of 100 (where 0 is the maximum level of corruption, 100 is its absence). This is 1 point less than a year earlier: in 2024, the indicator was 43 points.
In the overall ranking, the country ranked 80th out of 182 states and territories, the middle of the second half of the list, which analysts describe as "medium-weak."
