NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from America, already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States has been our largest source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we had record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel every month.
Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
