NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to see an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he added. "The United States has been our largest destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record numbers of Israel's tourism entry every month.

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how Canada’s tourism is rebounding." We're still not away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this increase in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling abroad."
