NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from America, already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to see this positive shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months or even years.
Canada which isn't too far from the United States of America, is set to beat its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 tourists in July 2022 as well as 6,000 tourists in August.
"It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record-setting numbers in 2019. We believe that this growth will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 came from the United States. Since May, when the country is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status More than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
