NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is our number one market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are so happy to see an improvement in the trend, and we anticipate it to continue for a long time."
