NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
"It is so exciting to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and anticipate a steady upward trend for months and even years.
Canada is set to beat Israel's tourism arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

We are still not away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this growth in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."
