It was a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking numbers of tourism entry month after month. It's a fantastic positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an upward trajectory for months to come."
