NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% over the year before.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he said. "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are thrilled to see such a positive shift and anticipate it to continue for many months and years."
