NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over the year before.

Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to see this shift and expect an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
"It is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home when they travel abroad.
In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May of this year, the country has already witnessed over 600,400 US tourists.
