NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a four percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entry month after month. It's a fantastic positive trend that we're pleased to witness and expect an upward trend for months to be."

Canada is not far from the United States of America, is set to beat its tourist arrivals to Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country's official opening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US travelers.
