Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

"The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months and even years.
Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country's official opening to everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US travelers.
