Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism From the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed such a positive shift, and we expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come."
Canada is poised to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at ease abroad.
Israel welcomed over 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May saw more than 600,000.
