Neve Paritzki Israel Reliably Breaks Records in Tourism Entry Numbers - United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four% increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. "The United States has been our largest destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had been celebrating record-breaking figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.
Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May of this year, the country has already witnessed more than 600,400 US tourists.
