Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.

"The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel, and before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers every month. We're so happy to see an improvement in the trend and anticipate a steady increase in the coming many months and years to follow."
Canada is set to beat Israel's tourism arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
"It is exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not too far away from our record in 2019 and we are anticipating that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."
Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 were from the United States. Since May, when the country opened to all visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
