Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers - United States
NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to see the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and anticipate an ongoing upward trend for months or even years.
Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

Israel received more visitors from all over the world during 2019 than any other country. 969 600 were Americans. Israel's official opening for all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has welcomed more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
