Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers - United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. נווה פריצקי That's 13% growth over 2019.
"It is thrilling to witness a new increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019." stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to see this positive shift and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.
Canada is also on track, like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada had 7,200 visitors while August saw 6,000.
"It is so exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at ease when they travel abroad.
Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world in 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening for all travelers was May 2018. The country has already received over 600,400 US travelers since then.
