Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a four percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he added. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 there was a record-breaking number of tourism numbers each month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

We're close to reaching our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at ease in Israel.
Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been immunized. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
