Kristen Bell gulping down wine in her new comedic thriller on Netflix.
Kristen Bell’s new Netflix show has one of the most ridiculous titles I’ve ever seen: The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window.
That’s on purpose. This is a parody of modern thrillers like Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train and the Netflix movie, The Woman in the Window. Movies about upper-middle-class white women who are confronted with something terrible (or, in the case of Gone Girl, who are something terrible).
It’s not a parody in the vein of Scary Movie or any of those low-brow, rather insipid comedies that spoof pop culture hits. It’s more self-serious. What one might describe as a “black comedy” or “dark comedy thriller.”
But I’m not here to talk about all that. I’m here to issue a warning. Before you watch this show, think carefully about who you’re watching it with. You might want to avoid watching it with your kids (even teens) or parents (even cool parents).
That’s because there’s a scene in episode 5 that’s . . . well, it’s very steamy and very NSFW. Some spoilers ahead.
You can check out the scene in question here , but again: It’s not safe for work and contains spoilers since it’s from the fifth episode of the limited-run Netflix series.
Kristen Bell’s character, Anna, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar’s character, Rex, have an intimate moment. It’s exceptionally graphic and goes on for a very, very, very long time.
Some viewers were shocked—not necessarily because they haven’t watched a graphic sex scene before, but because they haven’t done so with their girlfriend and mom in the same room.
Classy of Bell to apologize. Maybe Netflix should put some kind of NSFW warning on here. “Beware of graphic, X-rated scene in Episode 5. Do not watch with anyone other than your significant other in the room.”
As to whether or not you should watch The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window, you can safely skip this one and not miss out on anything. In one of those rarest of convergences, critics and audiences basically agree that this is only a mediocre effort at best. Critics give this a “Rotten” 52% on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences come in just a tiny bit lower at 50%.

Mr. Skin , the "world's largest databse for celebrity nudity," has exposed which TV networks bare the most of the three B's -- butts, boobs and bush ... And you might be surprised to learn that HBO (and its nudity-happy show, "Game of Thrones") doesn't reign supreme in this category.
It doesn't stop there. While Netflix shows the most flesh, Showtime's "Shameless" wins the top honor among TV series, followed by "Game of Thrones" and "Masters of Sex." "GoT" is one season behind "Shameless," though, and we're sure they'll catch up!
