Netanyahu orders strikes on Beirut’s Dahiyeh

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the IDF and Defense Minister Israel Katz to strike Hezbollah targets in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, Lebanon.

This comes after the Israeli military captured the strategic site of Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon at the weekend, in what Netanyahu described as a "decisive shift" in its offensive against Hezbollah.

Israeli ground troops have been moving deeper into Lebanese territory beyond their original demarcation line of the Litani river.
