I'll just put my two cents in here by saying that, rudeness of the comments aside (and that rudeness is not cool or acceptable in any way), the reason people feel that way is because they make up the vast majority of not only Americans, but humanity. The bottom line is that the large majority, women or men, does not find women like Athena attractive. It has nothing to do with brainwashing or media images or any of that. There have been plenty of behavioral studies that show what types of bodies and faces are pleasing to the human eye/brain and Ahtena does not fit into those categories. That's not to say that those who find her attractive are wrong, but they should be aware that they are the exception, not the rule and that those who do not find her attractive are not "sheep" but people who simply hold the same behavioral pattern standards of beauty that are prevalent through most of society. Keep in mind, it has nothing to do with what's "realistic" or what the majority of people actually look like, because most of us are not model-thin or model-pretty. It has to do with what we like to see, and thin and pretty are what the majority of people, regardless of how they themselves actually look, like to look at. If this standard were not true, then we would have a lot more heavier, average-looking people in ads and magazines and TV shows and movies -- but we don't.

Personally she's not my cup of tea (putting it lightly, and honestly). But there's that saying that says "if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing at all." Anonymity makes an easy way of lashing out, so the temptation is not to follow that.
