Naturi Naughton may be decades removed from her time in the girl group 3LW , but that doesn’t mean she’s done spilling the group’s tea.
While promoting her latest acting gig, a role on “Queens” alongside cast mates Eve, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy, Naughton shared some surprising insight on the smoke and mirrors 3LW presented to the world.
“There are moments though, when I’m in a scene [on ‘Queens’], like, ‘Yo, this really happened to me,’” she told the hosts of “The Breakfast Club Power 105.1” during an Oct.19 episode. The singer-actress then went on to reveal the former trio faked ownership of a home to appear on a popular MTV series where celebrities give cameras a look into how they’re really living, or in this case, pretending to live.
“That ‘Cribs’ episode I lived it, I was doing a fake ‘Cribs,’ and I’m telling everybody now on ‘The Breakfast Club,’” explained Naughton as her cast mates gasped and laughed with shock. “MTV did the ‘Cribs,’ and you know like back when 3LW was hot we had to pretend, but I didn’t have a car, I didn’t have a house, I didn’t have any of those things.”
The 3,000 square-foot Malibu home featured three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Group member Keily Williams starts off the episode by explaining the home was purchased by the group and that all three ladies were living there with their road manager. From there the trio proceed to show off their favorite parts of the home, including their bedrooms, all of which in hindsight were devoid of any real personal touches like decor and photos.
Naughton further explained the home had to be clean by 7 a.m. the next day before being returned to the owner. With seemingly no shame, the “Power” star explained it showed how “fake we [celebrities] have to [to be to] project this image.”
On social fans had a field day with the revelation. “See celebrities be faking and us regular pole be trying to be like them,” wrote one person. Others commented, “The start of Airbnb” and “We knew [laughing emoji] how u go to ppl house n nun in the regenerator.”
Naughton, who left the group in 2002 after an alleged chicken-throwing incident , has long stated she was treated unfairly by band mates Williams and Adrienne Bailon. However after years of both women denying claims that a disagreement ever erupted into fried chicken being thrown at Naughton, it seems the truth of the situation may have been revealed by the main culprit, Williams.
“I didn’t throw chicken at anybody,” explained Williams during an episode of BET’s “The Encore.” “The chicken was in my hand, but if you call my mother a b—h, I’m throwing whatever.”

Naturi Naughton 's holiday celebrations were extra special this year.
Two days before Christmas , the Power Book II: Ghost star got engaged , she announced in an interview with Essence . Though she has not revealed her fiancé's identity, she did disclose that the two were introduced by her Power costar, Omari Hardwick .
"I never imagined that one random night in [New York] would change my life so much," said Naughton, 36. "I had no idea I was about to meet the best teammate ever. Omari Hardwick and I were recording a song together and Omari was like, 'Oh, you gotta meet my people.' On that night, I met this kind, handsome, southern gentleman who would love me like I've never been loved."
"From that point on, we talked every day, quietly dated and fell in love," she continued. "Thank you, TV hubby, for introducing me to my future hubby!"
The actress also posted photos of her engagement ring and the happy couple on Instagram , writing, "Yup! I get to marry my best friend!"
"100 congratulations to you & lil bro," matchmaker Hardwick, 46, commented on the post.
The proposal was one for the books. Naughton told Essence that it happened while she and her daughter Zuri , 3, from a previous relationship, were snapping pictures for what she thought was a family photo shoot arranged by her husband-to-be.
"This amazing man of mine planned this whole photo shoot, complete with my glam team and stylist might I add, for me and my daughter with matching princess dresses. All I had to do was show up!" Naughton said. "We are all just taking pictures as normal, then the music changes to a song called 'Looking For Love' by Mul-Ty. Out of nowhere I see Mickey, Minnie, and the whole Disney crew walk in, and then I see my parents and one of my best friends walk in behind them — all wearing their masks. I was in shock! When I turned around, my now-fiancé was down on one knee!"
He popped the question with a Neil Lane diamond and also gifted Zuri with her own ring — a gold band dotted with a small ruby, her birthstone.
"My fiancé said that his commitment to me is also a lifetime commitment to her," Naughton told the magazine. "Zuri admired her ring, then said, 'Oh, for me?' She was so happy."
"It makes me happy that they have a great bond as well," she added. "Any man that I would choose would have to know that Zuri and I are a package deal!"
Speaking to PEOPLE earlier this year, Naughton opened up about her special bond with her daughter. She welcomed Zuri in July 2017 with her ex, whom she referred to only as Ben. The former couple split shortly after Zuri's arrival.
To Zuri, "I am just mommy. I'm not Tasha [from Power ] . I'm not Naturi Naughton," the star said. "I just get to be mommy, and that actually is really liberating, because that little girl just sees me as perfection."
"No matter what I'm wearing or what my hair looks like when I wake up, with her she's just like, 'Mommy, you look so pretty.' I'm like, 'Really? Mommy is a mess,'" Naughton continued. "But to her she sees nothing but beauty, and that's honestly amazing."

While many were warmed by the reunion of former 3LW members Adrienne Bailon and Naturi Naughton yesterday on The Real , one person was far from impressed. Namely the group’s former manager.
Tse Williams, who is also the older sister and former guardian of member Kiely Williams , has hit out at the ladies in a series of heated tweets.
Asserting that she and Kiely are fed up of being defamed, Tse proceeded to throw copious amounts of shade.
Sure, Tse is entitled to defend herself. However, we’re scratching our heads at her scathing approach. Especially as she’s presently managing a girl-group on the come up (see: Billion Dollar Baby ).
Her antics run risk of negatively impacting the band she’s shepherding by way of association.
She crucially also never addressed KFC-gate .

I thought Michelle Williams, Kiely mom, was their manager. Either way Kiely’s relatives being apart of management only added fuel to the fire. As it did with DC4. I honestly feel it’s impossible to equally manage a group when you have more interest in 1 member because they’re blood.
Why bring up stuff people did as teenagers tho…clearly a lot of teens do cringeworthy stuff at that age sometimes smh….as far as Adrienne she stayed with that lady longer but its not like CB didn’t already spill tea about the married man either…at the end of the day clearly they felt the need to apologize and I don’t see how the mgmt put Naturi the actress on…she clearly was auditioning and making her way up the ladder in that regard from scratch…
Naturi and Andrienne aren’t lying about how messed up this lady is. A good manager doesn’t get petty on twitter, they get legal. She was the one who co signed the KFC gate when it happened. Naturi is blessed and the other memebers can’t even come close to her resume, because you never win your dirty.

Looking at the above picture and listening to the songs, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Naturi Naughton and Adrienne Bailon were CLEARLY the stars of the group! But look who’s in the middle of the picture…mmmmhmm lol…just buy that other girl a two piece KFC cause she’s NO LEFT EYE and this manager is NO PEBBLES (GIRLFRIEND! dunna dunna)…now let that girl throw a two piece KFC at ME…chile, she’ll be eating through a straw with broken promithes promithes lol
I was reading the tweets and kept reading and kept reading and scrolled down to notice it just goes on and on about a bunch of nothing. She could have kept that!
I’ve never been fond of Adrienne but I honestly believe her apology and I do believe that the adults that was around them treated Naturi badly bcuz she was dark skin! I think Adrienne played apart in it as well… she spent years denying it! The great part is that they both have moved on and is doing well… all while the Kiely girl that threw the KFC chicken box in Naturi face is irrelevant & nowhere to be found! As for this lady whatever group she is managing they better run like heeeelllll!
kiely’s mother/sister is obviously salty af because she created all the drama in 3lw and kiely is the one who fell off. we all know kiely got ratchett and threw a plate of kfc @ naturi and assaulted her while adrienne sat back and sided with kiely since she could have cared less if naturi was getting kicked out of the group or not. the record label wanted adrienne in the front of the group for marketing reasons and since naturi was the darker skinned girl of the group she ended up pretty much being the help, in the background. kiely’s mother/sister hated that naturi spoke up about her mistreatment and allowed kiely to go as far as to assault naturi and throw her out of the group. adrienne defended kiely in the beginning because she didnt want to jeopardize her career, but after the cheetah girls they all of a sudden stopped speaking. adrienne knew the situation was wrong from the beginning. then kiely went on to do her thirsty “spectacular” song and fall off completely. now naturi is a hollywood actress of one of the greatest shows on TV, shes expecting a baby, and has been in numerous films. adrienne is a talk-show host on a highly rated daytime talk show, and newly married. while kiely is at home doing youtube blogs scheming with her mother/sister and tweeting about what adrienne and naturi are doing…pat
