Many Lebanese accused the US government of stalling the ceasefire resolution and of support of Israel's attacks. According to the Yedioth Ahronoth Encyclopedia of the Second Lebanon War, the main reason for the discrepancy between Lebanese and Israeli estimates of the number of Hezbollah fatalities during the war (300 versus 700 respectively) was that the former included only Hezbollah military while the latter also included civilian members of Hezbollah. Also phosphorus shells were used by the IDF to attack civilian areas in Lebanon. These attacks killed one civilian and wounded twelve. That kept me from cross-contaminating the inks in case a darker one wasn't completely dry yet. One of my biggest challenges was figuring out what to tweet. We know how it feels to be alone and working on this stuff, and so it can feel bewildering at times trying to figure out if something is for real. Terms for a ceasefire had been drawn and revised several times over the course of the conflict, yet successful agreement between the two sides took several weeks. Both sides used cluster bombs during the conflict.
