Darren Aronofsky's much-anticipated "Black Swan," which is set to hit theaters Friday, has the movie world abuzz. The ballet flick, starring Natalie Portman as Nina Sayers, promises to be both disturbingly dark and stunningly beautiful, as the prima ballerina fights for the coveted lead role in "Swan Lake." When a new dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), vies for the top spot, Portman's character is swept into an intense psychological competition, rife with sexual connotations, including the much buzzed-about [article id="1653266"]love scene between Portman and Kunis[/article].
From what we've seen, the battle of the wills between the dancers is ruthless, and their ensuing sexual encounters are equally intense. One would be hard-pressed to believe that Portman and Kunis are, in fact, close friends in real life. When MTV News caught up with the lead actress recently, she discussed the experience of shooting such difficult scenes with someone she knew so well.
Portman was quick to praise her friend in the villainous role, revealing that it had been her suggestion to Aronofsky that led to Kunis being cast in the part. "It was really crazy, because Mila and I were very good friends," she said. "And when Darren asked me, 'Who do you think could do this part? Who has sort of a similar height, coloring, physique?' I was like, 'Oh, Mila, Mila, Mila!' He met her and obviously flipped over her, and she's super talented and does an amazing job in the movie." Portman later realized what the pairing would entail, however. "I didn't really think through the fact that I was going to have to have sex with her in the movie," she admitted.
The actress revealed that it was slightly uncomfortable to work on those scenes but said that having Kunis around was a positive experience as well. "It was pretty awkward. I almost feel like it would be easier to do it with someone you didn't know," she said. "But, having said that, it was great to have a friend there who, we could laugh and make jokes and get over it together."
Despite Aronofsky's efforts to increase the rivalry by separating the pals on set, the pair stayed in close contact. "He didn't want us to be friends while we were shooting, because we're rivals in the movie," Portman said of the director. "So we both had to do this ballet training, but he would make it at different times, and then he would tell me, 'She's doing really well,' and then tell her, 'Natalie's doing so much better than you,' " she laughed. "But we would share the information, so we were like, 'He's messing with us. This isn't real, this isn't real.' "

It's been a whole 24 hours since MTV Movies Blog last brought you news of the already infamous " Black Swan " sex scene showcasing the bedroom talents of Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis ... so we figured it was about time for a follow-up.
And since yesterday's post was all about how Kunis banned her dad from watching the aforementioned scene between the ballet-rivals-turned-bed-mates, we're keeping things fair today by offering you Ms. Portman's take on filming the steamy sequence with her co-star and, as it happens, off-screen BFF.
"It was really crazy, because Mila and I were very good friends," Portman told MTV News at the "Black Swan" junket. "And when Darren [Aronofsky , the director] asked me, 'Who do you think could do this part? Who has sort of a similar height, coloring, physique?' I was like, 'Oh, Mila, Mila, Mila!' He met her and obviously flipped over her, and she's super talented and does an amazing job in the movie."
That was all well and good, but then it dawned on Portman what this pairing meant. "I didn't really think through the fact that I was going to have to have sex with her in the movie," she admitted. "So that was pretty awkward. It almost, I feel like, would be easier to do it with someone you didn't know, weirdly. But, having said that, it was great to have a friend there who -- we could laugh and make jokes and get over it together."
But unlike a performance of, say, "Swan Lake," there wasn't a whole lot of step-by-step choreography that went into the rather intense love scene. "You obviously talk about it in some ways -- like the shared experience of the awkwardness of it. But we weren't plotting out, like, 'And then you'll pull my hair!' No, that didn't happen," Portman laughed.
For his part, director Darren Aronofsky didn't try to make things less uncomfortable. "He didn't want us to be friends while we were shooting, because we're rivals in the movie," Portman said of Aronofsky. "So we both had to do this ballet training, but he would make it at different times, and then he would tell me, 'She's doing really well,' and then tell her, 'Natalie's doing so much better than you. But we would share the information, so we were like, 'He's messing with us. This isn't real, this isn't real.'"

In May 2018, Black Swan actress Mila Kunis joined Ciara , Taylor Swift , Jennifer Lopez , and Maren Morris at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

8 years earlier, Macaulay Culkin’s ex-girlfriend filmed a lesbian sex scene with Natalie Portman in the psychological thriller Black Swan.
She portrayed Lily, a rival ballet dancer to the main character Nina Sayers, played by Natalie Portman. Mila was cast after director Darren Aronofsky saw her in the 2008 American romantic comedy film Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

“I didn’t starve myself,” Kunis said in June 2016 during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show. With no experience in ballet, Sarah Hyland’s lookalike had to lose weight for the role.
“I did do it in the healthiest way possible. I don’t recommend anybody ever doing it.”
“I had to look skinny in order to look like a ballerina,” Kunis explained. “You fake it. So, the best way to fake it is to, unfortunately, look like it.”
“I never watched what I ate [before]. It was one of those things, for the first time in my life, I got a food delivery service,” she said about her diet.

“And I’ll tell you this — I’m not promoting this at all — but I used to be a smoker, and so I smoked a lot of cigarettes and I ate a limited amount of calories.”
“Twelve-hundred calories and I smoked,” she reiterated about her struggle to lose weight. “I don’t advocate this at all. It was awful.” Kunis has since quit smoking.
“Darren would tell us things about each other to try to make us jealous. I think he was trying to create a rivalry in real life between us,” Portman told US Weekly about becoming friends with Mila Kunis on the set.
“Mila and I had had ‘sweatpants nights’ watching Top Chef,” Portman recalled, “and suddenly we were on set together in tutus, emaciated and tired.” She met her current husband Benjamin Millepied on the set of the film.

“I didn’t really think through the fact that I was going to have to have sex with her in the movie,” Portman told MTV about the sex scene with Mila Kunis. Their characters end up having sex in Nina’s apartment after an evening of clubbing.
“It was pretty awkward. I almost feel like it would be easier to do it with someone you didn’t know,” she explained.

“But, having said that, it was great to have a friend there who, we could laugh and make jokes and get over it together,” Portman added.
“There was no tequila! Not sure where that rumor came from, but it’s false,” Kunis told People about the lesbian sex scene. “I don’t think we could have done that scene if we were intoxicated.”
“They’re never comfortable, same-sex, opposite-sex, it’s never comfortable,” she added about filming intimate scenes.

“It’s hard to have a sex scene, period. It doesn’t matter if it’s a friend, a male, a female,” Portman told reporters on the red carpet in 2010.
“You’re with 100-something crew members, lighting you, repositioning you, there’s no comfort whatsoever.”

Showing off her new hairstyle at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, the then 34-year-old actress wore a black and silver crystal-embellished cady skirt paired with a black long sleeve crop top from the same David Koma Fall 2017 collection.
Her $2,125 skirt is quite a bargain compared to JLo’s $85,070 Roberto Cavalli croc creation . How do you like Mila’s set of bangs?

Mila, who worked with Zoe in the 2007 movie ‘After Sex’, spoke at the event to honor her friend.
“I admire you as a person, a wife, a sister, a mother, a businesswoman, and an actress. While the world knows you for the characters you have played, I have the privilege of knowing the working mom behind the scenes,” Mila said during the speech.
