NASTY Nick Bateman was the original Big Brother villain we all loved to hate.
Here's what happened to the first housemate to be removed from the Big Brother house.
Nick, now 53, appeared on the original series of Big Brother in 2000, setting the standard for future housemates by playing fellow contestants against each other.
He was finally exposed by the other housemates when they realised he had been manipulating them, ending with eventual winner Craig confronting him on behalf of the group on day 35.
The episode itself drew in 6million viewers as he was finally confronted.
Craig said: “Basically, I have to say it Nick, I am very disappointed in yourself.
“I not only feel but am quite positive and have got evidence that you’re plotting a very dirty plan on everyone in here.”
As instructing nominations is against Big Brother rules, he was removed from the house despite never receiving a nomination from the group.
After leaving the show, Nick decided to turn his new nickname into a money-spinner and released his first book, How to be a Complete B*****d in 2001.
He then became a journalist for national newspapers, even writing a column for The Sun for a brief period of time.
Despite being initially hated, the dastardly contestant managed to win people back over when he participated in Ultimate Big Brother in 2010 – coming 5 th place and losing out to BB2’s Brian Dowling.
Big Brother winner Craig Phillips revealed that the last person he saw from his series was Nick - but he was left surprised when the TV villain told fibs to impress Craig's wife Laura.
Craig told us: "The last person I saw was Nasty Nick. Laura and I went travelling around Asia and then went on to Australia - Sydney and Perth.
"I knew Nick was living in Sydney so I spent four or five hours with him over a couple of bottles of wine.
"Sometimes you can catch him when he’s a bit normal but because Laura was there it was lie after lie after lie!"
However, Nick has also proved he was actually a big softie at heart and has been an avid fundraiser for Cancer Research UK – winning the £10,000 prize pot for them in a celebrity version of quiz show The Weakest Link, and fronting a television campaign for the charity.
Nick has now started a new life in Sydney, Australia, working as a writer and broadcaster.
His Twitter bio reads: “If you knew me based on who I was 16 years ago, you don’t know me at all.”
After Tricky Nicky’s first season, the show has slowly become more and more crazy – and this year’s show is sure to be no exception.
Davina and Rylan, as well as Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis, will be reflecting on 20 years of the milestone reality show in the new series.
Big Brother: Best Shows Ever kicks off on June 14 at 9pm on E4.
