Naomi Wiki is a FANDOM TV Community.
Darcovo , better known as Dee , is a main character on The CW 's superhero drama Naomi . He is portrayed by Alexander Wraith .

Dee is the owner of a local tattoo parlor and a winged alien from the planet Thanagar . [1] When a strange event leaves the town in chaos, Dee hints that he knows more than he is willing to tell.

Dee is from Thanagar and fought alongside Superman [2] and Adam Blake [3] in a war a long time ago. Just under 20 years ago, Dee moved to Port Oswego . However, in 2012, he left the planet in search of Qyeala, his lost love. It was in her honor that he had a "Q" tattooed on his neck. [4]

Dee is confronted by Naomi after she reviewed the footage from the stunt in the Square involving Superman , which seemed to indicate that Dee knew him. However, he claims that he didn't, but Naomi isn't convinced he's telling her the truth, especially after he references her glasses and adoption date, which no one else knew. She asks for answers, but he replies that he can't give her answers if she's not asking the right questions. Eventually, he relents and reveals that he planned the fight on Main Street for publicity for his shop and that he hired an actor with a jetpack.

Naomi returns after realizing that he lied to her about being behind the stunt on Main Street. Dee explains that he simply wasn't comfortable with confrontation. He then admits to being there on the day she was adopted and that there was another mysterious encounter. Naomi mentions that she's been hearing buzzing, which Dee suspects may have something to do with people like them. When Naomi inquires further, he replies that it wasn't supposed to happen like this, and then a large set of metal wings sprout from his back. Naomi asks who he is, but he replies that she's still asking the wrong questions. As the lights flicker, he asks her what is the right question. Naomi replies that the real question is, "Who am I?" [5]

Dee doesn't know everything, but he is certain of one thing — that all this started on March 14, 2004, when he saw the light in the sky and first sensed Naomi's presence. He further explains how there are invisible vibrations all around them and that people like them have a unique vibrational signature, similar to a fingerprint, and Dee's wings grant him the ability to sense it. Speaking of, his wings are made from a rare metal found on his home planet of Thanagar . Dee's an alien , as is Naomi, who is a bit overwhelmed by the revelation. He didn't tell her sooner because he didn't want to blow up her life, as her abilities seemed dormant and she seemed happy.

The following day, he meets Naomi at the bridge, from which he expects her to jump. If she is an alien, as he claims, she'll be unharmed and even defy gravity. As further proof of his claims, Dee points out that she's never been injured a single day in her life, and that's because she's not human. However, Naomi reluctant to believe that she's an alien and unwilling to jump down into the river. Dee recalls how Superman once told him that "Impossible is relative," revealing to Naomi that he fought side by side with Superman a long time ago, in a war. Naomi maintains her stance and denounces the existence of superheroes and aliens. Realizing that she's not ready to accept the truth, Dee jumps off the bridge himself and spreads his metal wings. As he hovers above the bridge, Dee tells Naomi that she is an alien and that finding the crash site won't change that.

When Naomi finally returns to his shop, she has accepted her truth, that she's an alien, and asks for Dee's help. And so, Dee trains Naomi, returning to the bridge and convincing her to jump into the river, which she does without incident, confirming that she is in fact an alien. [2]

Dee trains Naomi in the dojo beneath his tattoo shop. They start off easy, with Naomi simply bouncing tennis balls with both hands. However, Naomi can't seem to stop thinking about the disk , and she recalls seeing similar markings at the mill. She feels as if she's connected to the disk, but Dee advises her to remain focus on the task at hand. However, when Naomi returns, she reveals that she not only broke into Zumbado's dealership and stole the disk, but that it also vanished when she tried to perform tests on it. Realizing that Naomi won't stop until she gets answers, Dee introduces her to an old alien friend of his, Adam Blake . From Adam, they learn that the disk is an ancient form of communication and that it and Naomi are very connected. However, the disk she stole from Zumbado was a fake. Just then, Adam's hideout is attacked by a special ops team, forcing Dee and Naomi to flee whilst he provides a distraction.

They return to the tattoo shop, where Dee assures Naomi that Adam will be fine and that they left because she wasn't ready for combat despite her growing powers. She still needs time to learn how to control them, but Naomi insists that she's ready. However, when she later returns to the shop, she admits that Dee was right about her powers after nearly killing both herself and Annabelle. However, Naomi was able to translate the markings on the disk, it said " The Twenty-Nine ." [3]

Dee continues his training with Naomi, but he notices that something is wrong when she hits the punching bag so hard that it hits the wall and cracks the tile. Hoping to relieve Naomi of her anger, he suggests that for their next session, they begin meditation training. He then inquiries about the source of Naomi's rage, and she reveals that her parents have known that she's an alien all along. She, in turn, told them that Dee's an alien, and now they want him to come to dinner. Naomi still doesn't know anything about where she came from, but Dee suspects that for someone to have sent Naomi to this earth, the situation must've been dire. The universe is vast. Some are strong, others are weak, and there are a few that are considered most special of all, and Dee believes that Naomi's from one of those planets.

Dee attends dinner at the McDuffies' as planned, where they have an awkward dinner and discuss his mentoring of Naomi as well as his own alien nature. Dee reveals that he's been in Port Oswego for nearly 20 years, but not the entire time, as he left earth entirely back in 2012, though he doesn't specify where exactly he went. They also discuss his wings, his ability to sense others with powers, and the rock they found Naomi on. Feeling as if he's being interrogated, Dee leaves early. However, he's on time to save Naomi when she's attacked at the school by a bounty hunter named Jaeger . After chasing him off, Dee reveals to Naomi that more beings will come after her now that her abilities have manifested. He also tells her about his lost love, Qyeala , for whom the Q tattooed on his neck represents. He doesn't know what happened to her, but he wished he had expressed his love for her back then. [4]

After a successful training session with Naomi, in which he advised her to face or fight her fears, Dee seeks out help from Zumbado, whom he's known personally for quite some time, to track down the bounty hunter , though he is reluctant to help, claiming that none of this would've happened if Dee stayed away from Naomi as they agreed. Nevertheless, Dee can sense the bounty hunter, and he needs Zumbado's help in stopping him for both of their sake. However, Zumbado realizes that Dee isn't doing this for Naomi, rather himself. A Thanagarian war criminal would be high value to a bounty hunter, and Dee's kind aren't exactly known for showing mercy to deserters, but that's not who Dee is anymore. The bounty hunter is known to carry a device, a record of their targets, and if they can recover that, they'll know who sent him.

Dee tracks Jaeger the bounty hunter down to an abandoned warehouse and makes him a one time offer: to stay on the plant until he heals in exchange for his life. When Jaeger declines his offer, Zumbado knocks him to the ground and takes the device from his pocket, learning the identity of his employer, who is no threat or concern to Dee. However, there's another name on the list that will be of interest to him, that being Qyeala . [6]

Dee tells Naomi that he's leaving for a few days
After another successful training session, Dee tells Naomi that he's leaving for a few days to follow up a lead regarding Qyeala, but he wants her to continue her training in his absence, as he doesn't want her powers becoming a crutch.
