This is my first experience with urban decay eyeshadow I really like this color pallet. I use it every day. I have been able to set all other eyeshadow aside and just use this one. I really like the brush that came with it as well.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($54.00 for 0.48 oz. ) is a new, permanent neutral-hued palette that features 12 shades with one shade that's shimmery and 11 that are touted as matte (a few have faint sparkle/shimmer in the pan but none of them looked shimmery on the skin to my eye). I don't have an exact release date, just that it will be debuting in September and will be available at all retailers that sell Urban Decay (but I'd expect it to launch on Urban Decay's website first).

Of all the products that I reviewed for Allure 's 2017 Best of Beauty Awards, one stood out the most: the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics eye shadow palette. Why? It’s the product that remained in my bag from the moment it showed up on my desk all the way to this very minute. This curated collection of 12 matte neutral shades has already become my makeup collection's most-used palette, beating out the countless other eye shadow kits I've tried.
Famous for its popular Naked palettes, Urban Decay has repeatedly proven itself worthy of its cult-favorite status among fans. The Naked Ultimate Basics eye shadow palette features a range of neutral matte-finish shadows — perfect for UD fans like me who have always found themselves using up the matte shades in their palettes and barely touching the shimmery ones.
In addition to the appealing texture and blendable finish of these satiny powders, the color spectrum facilitates the creation of just about any neutral look . A mixture of light shades (pale taupe, dusty rose, and creamy banana yellow) is balanced with deeper, more intense colors (warm rust, deep plum, and fully-opaque black). In the time since I started playing around with the Ultimate Basics palette, I've attended a wedding, a first date, a wine tasting, multiple work events, and a birthday party for a friend of the aforementioned first date, where I wanted to look extra nice. I had zero issues coming up with fresh ways to do my eye makeup.
I would be doing you a disservice if I neglected to mention Urban Decay's delightful outer packaging. The 12-color palette comes in a rose-gold case with a textured sunburst design, making it a simple and chic addition to any vanity in a way that most larger makeup products aren't. Is outer aesthetics a reason to buy an entire palette ? Of course not, but when the shade selection and formulas are this excellent, the delivery is just an added bonus on the list of reasons to fall in love.
