Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow PaletteUrban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette ($54.00 for 0.60 oz.) is a set of cooler-toned shades ranging from beige to black with a definite slant towards grayish tones. The eyeshadows are arranged by finish from most shimmery to least shimmery. The formula feels different than previous Urban Decay releases; it feels noticeably drier and almost chalky to me, especially in the more satin/matte shades, and the press feels firmer. In a way, they remind me of the dryness I felt in the holiday palettes of last year, but the firmer press resulted in less excess powder kicked up all over the place when used and less fall out during application. They almost feel more like Too Faced or LORAC eyeshadows, though LORAC has a silkier feel overall. This texture made it particularly difficult to use them without primer, and I've been able to use the prior releases reasonably well (some better than others) without primer (and in general, I can do so with the majority of Urban Decay's eyeshadows from the permanent line). For summer, the brand added several new brightly-colored eyeshadows that I was easily able to use without primer (see this post), but this was not workable on bare skin. The texture of these is nothing like the individual shades launched for summer and don't really feel like any past iteration of their formula. Whether or not it is accurate, the texture and performance feels like a cheapening of the Urban Decay eyeshadow formula on the whole but at the very least, I've lost a lot of faith in their ability to put together a high-quality, high-value palette based on the recent palette releases.

I find the colors are pigmented, but that some of the shadows do not stick to the eye for a long time (can fade/crease) depending on the way I apply it. Using an eyeshadow primer is helpful in my case, as I have oily lids. Some shades need to be built or applied wet to get a strong pop. Some of the shades apply well by brush, applying it wet/setting spray, or by using your fingers. All in all, I love it and feel it should be played with more to understand it better.

I know this has had some pretty mixed reviews but I really like Naked Smoky and, from the first time I saw it, I thought I would. I don't find the fallout to be nearly as bad as I thought it would be (and there's nothing in here that's as troublesome as Sidecar from the first Naked palette - I fell in love with that shadow but could not use it because of the dreadful fallout, no matter how I applied it). I do love the lighter and brighter shades in this and it's nice to have a few mattes to pair with the more shimmery shades. I missed Armor in the first Vice palette so I'm really happy to have it. Combust is a great transition/subtle crease/blending out colour and I simply LOVE Password - that shadowy taupe-grey shade is so versatile. I like the solid, substantial packaging of this. It's similar to that used on Naked on the Run and it looks elegant and sophisticated with a bit of edginess thrown in.

Как только ты решила, что больше ни копейки не потратишь на палетки Urban Decay - они выпустили новую, Naked Smoky.
Я должна сказать, сегодняшний обзор продукта был однозначно пугающим для меня. Я оказалась абсолютно не готова к появлению новой Naked в семье Urban Decay. Но палетка уже выпущена, и она оказалась просто потрясающей, так же, как и её предшественники. Речь пойдет о палетке Naked Smoky.
Палетка имеет схожий с Electric пластиковый футляр. Сам футляр имеет красивый оттенок с переплетающимся силуэтом дыма. Выглядит очень аппетитно и сексуально.
Да, я и ранее встречала похожие палетки, такие как Smoked от UD. Но, должна сказать, что Naked Smoky имеет всё самое необходимое для создания идеального smoky макияжа, включая оттенок метталик, несколько шиммерных и множество других соблазнительных оттенков.
Naked Smoky можно использовать как для вечернего, так и для дневного макияжа.
Правда, я немного предвзята. Я всегда использую тёмный оттенок, даже когда почти не крашусь, который подходит моим раскосым глазам. Поэтому я всегда в поисках коричневых, серых и тёмных оттенков, которые долго будут выглядеть насыщенными.

Внутри есть полноразмерное зеркало, а так же 12 теней и двусторонняя кисть. С одной стороны пушистая кисть для растушевки, с другой – более короткая и компактная кисть, что отлично подходит для нанесения темных оттенков. Я предпочитаю эту кисть, потому что моё веко небольшого размера, и мне нужно более точное нанесение.
Первых 4 оттенка: Шиммерные с переливами глиттера / микрошиммера.
Следующих 4 оттенка: Сатиновые без глиттера (1 шиммерный, 3 smoky оттенка).
Последних 4 оттенка: Кремовые матовые (2 smoky оттенка, 1 нейтральный оттенок, 1 оттенок для высветления).
High / Dirtysweet / Radar / Armor / Slanted / Dagger / Black Market / Smolder / Password / Whiskey / Combust / Thirteen
High: Светло-розовый шиммер с микроглиттером
Dirtysweet: Оттенок загара-металлик (действительно сияет!)
Radar: Умеренный тёпло-коричневый (есть так же в Vice 2)
Armor: Серебрянный серо-коричневый с глиттером (есть так же в Vice)
Dagger: Холодный угольный сатиновый
Black Market: Чёрный сатиновый ( есть так же в Vice)
Smolder: Глубокий сливовый сатиновый
Password: Глубокий сиреневый серо-коричневый матовый
Whiskey: Шоколадный коричневый матовый (похожий оттенок есть в моих любимых карандашах 24/7!)
Combust: Светлый бежево-розовый матовый ( отличный оттенок для переходов при средних и светлых тонах кожи)
Thirteen: Кремовый матовый оттенок слоновой кости (практически сатиновый)
В общем, я серьёзно подсела на палетку Naked Smoky. Она не перегружена глиттерами (кроме оттенка Armor), у нее отличный баланс между тёплыми и холодными оттенками, подходящими каждой. Чёрный оттенок насыщенный и удобный в нанесении, а самый светлый оттенок отлично подходит ко всем видам макияжа.
Буду честной – это моя любимая палетка с времён покупки первой Naked. Она так классно сочетается с моим тёплым тоном кожи! Не могу дождаться, когда появится возможность опробовать разные варианты сочетания оттенков, чтобы увидеть, что у меня получится. Но сейчас я просто в восторге!
