LEAKED naked photos of Katie Hill have added fuel to a sex saga that has now become a career threat for the US politician.
One of the images appears to show the California congresswoman nude with a "bong" filled with a brown liquid and a questionable tattoo on her midriff.
The images in question were obtained by the DailyMail.com and released Thursday – one day after Hill became the subject of a House ethics investigation into allegations that she bedded two young legislative staffers, one male and one female.
Another image appears to show the 32-year-old congresswoman kissing a female staffer, who has since been identified as 24-year-old Morgan Desjardins .
After the images were released, Hill's lawyer sent out a cease-and-desist letter to the Daily Mail, demanding it take down the images as this was an "invasion of privacy."
The tattoo around Hill's bikini area appeared to resemble that of an Iron Cross, which, according to the Anti-Defamation League , are sometimes used by neo-Nazis as they are similar to a German military medal handed out until the end of World War II.
Use of the cross, however, does not always come with racist connotations, the group added, pointing out that it is also used by likes of bikers, skaters and many extreme sports enthusiasts.
“The claim that Representative Hill has Nazi imagery on her body in the form of a tattoo is false and defamatory,” Hill's attorneys wrote, according to the Huffington Post .
Hill has spent just under a year on Capitol Hill, and during that time she has received plaudits for being an openly bisexual progressive who flipped a region that was previously Republican.
In an unusual move involving a newcomer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also named the 32-year-old as her vice chairwoman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, a panel that is heavily involved in the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.
The recriminations against Hill started last Friday, when RedState , a conservative new site, accused Hill of twice violating House rules against sex with subordinates.
RedState reported that Hill's estranged husband, Kenny Heslep, who she is divorcing, had posted on a now-deleted Facebook account that Hill had been “sleeping with her [male] finance director for the past year at least.”
Heslep was referring to legislative staffer Graham Kelly, RedState reported, and in another post he apparently wrote, "I didn’t file for divorce bc she was bi!”
Hill denied the affair in a press statement, saying: “Allegations that I have been involved in a relationship with Mr. Kelly are absolutely false.
"I am saddened that the deeply personal matter of my divorce has been brought into public view and the vindictive claims of my ex have now involved the lives and reputations of unrelated parties."
The Daily Mail and RedState however claimed Heslep appeared to have no issues with Hill's relationship with Santa Clarita, California resident Desjardins, as he too was a willing participant.
Leaked photos and text messages appear to show what was, for more than a year, a polyamorous three-way relationship between Hill, Heslep and Desjardin, the outlets reported, backing up such claims with images like one that appeared to show Hill brushing Desjardin's hair while nude.
According to the messages leaked to RedState, Hill called off the relationship in May, four months after she moved to DC.
After RedState broke the story, Hill accused the accounts of being a "smear campaign" against her.
She said: “Intimate photos of me and another individual were published by Republican operatives on the internet without my consent.
“I have notified Capitol Hill police who are investigating the situation.”
Hill added: "The fact is I am going through a divorce from an abusive husband who seems determined to try to humiliate me.
"I am disgusted that my opponents would seek to exploit such a private matter for political gain."
On Wednesday, the House Ethics Committee said it was investigating the allegations that Hill had a sexual relationship with a member of her congressional staff, which Hill had previously denied.
Lawmakers have come under intense criticism for being slow to update Capitol Hill's rules on sexual harassment but finally passed an ethics change last year that, among other steps, banned lawmakers from having sexual relationships with staff aides.
The panel noted that it is casting no judgment on the validity of the charges, which were based in the report on anonymous sources.

In a letter to her constituents Wednesday, Hill acknowledged the relationship, writing: "I know that even a consensual relationship with a subordinate is inappropriate, but I still allowed it to happen despite my better judgment.
“For that I apologize. I wish nothing but the best for her and hope everyone respects her privacy in this difficult time.”
The revelations published Thursday gave more ammunition to political rivals who have called for Hill to resign .
Angela Underwood Jacobs, a Republican rival for Hill’s 25th District seat in suburban LA, tweeted: “It could have put our nation at risk due to her heightened potential to be blackmailed."
Supporters of Hill say that she has become a victim of "revenge porn" – which is illegal under California law.

Sarah Stogner posted: "They said I needed money. I have other assets."
Sarah Stogner will apparently do anything to get elected.
The 37-year-old West Texas woman is running to be the Lone Star state’s new railroad commissioner and has come up with an ingenious vote getter: She posted a TikTok video of herself topless and without pants as she straddles an oil pumping jack.
In the background of the controversial video, the Sugarhill Gang’s song Apache (Jump On It) plays.
Stogner posted: “They said I needed money. I have other assets.”
So far, the cheeky campaign gambit has been viewed more than 105,000 times. She is trailing incumbent Wayne Christian, who has a $766,000 war chest.
They said I needed money. 🤣 I have other assets. pic.twitter.com/OI9z9EDRRG
But the stunt may have backfired and cost Stogner the endorsement of one newspaper — the San Antonio Express-News — and raised the hackles of the religious right. Still, others saluted her bravery.
Stogner has stuck to her guns and claims the stunt was a joke.
One critic tweeted: “I’m confused. Are you running for political office, or auditioning to be a stripper?”
Another chimed in: “Sad. Some people like to display their qualifications, but if this is all you have …”
And the Express-News sniffed: “We were disappointed to see a disgraceful TikTok video posted Sunday from Sarah Stogner, whom we recently recommended in the Republican primary for railroad commissioner. We rescind our recommendation.”
Still, not everyone had soured on the candidate: “Whatever you think of this ad, it’s probably the most effective ad in politics. There’s probably a few million people who never heard of her that has now heard of her. Publicity is the most important thing in elections.”
“I knew it would be controversial,” Stogner said. “I didn’t realize it would incite the rage and anger that it did from the press.”
She added: “It feels very much like slut-shaming. We were just goofing off. We had the footage from last year, and I said ‘I’m going to make my own Super Bowl commercial’. If I had gone off and shot machine guns and screamed about the border, they wouldn’t have a problem with it.”

An exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Spencer Tunick's "Everything She Says Means Everything."
As the sun rises Sunday morning over the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland, 100 women stand completely nude, holding large, round mirrors facing the arena. They're on an empty lot in between a fire station and a shipping warehouse, right on the Cuyahoga River. It's the day before the Republican National Convention kicks off, but on this side of the river, it's nearly silent, except for the snaps and pops of a camera.
Artist Spencer Tunick stands on a ladder holding the camera focused on the women, wiping sweat off his brow. He shouts, "We love you all! This is beautiful," as he takes photos for his art installation, "Everything She Says Means Everything."
Off to the side, more women stand wrapped in sheets and towels shifting from foot to foot and rubbing their hands together, surrounded by piles of bras, panties, T-shirts, shorts, and sundresses. Since Tunick put out his casting call for the event in May , 1,800 women signed up to participate. Women of all different ages, shapes and races came from as far away as Belgium and as close as down the street. Some are here to send a message to Donald Trump and others just wanted to take the opportunity to proudly show their bodies publicly.
"This is for you and this is for our future," Tunick tells the women. "We will shine your light and power onto the RNC. We're going to shine the light of women into this arena."
The morning started at 5:15 a.m. with Tunick and his wife, Kristin, packing up a van to head to the secret location. In spite of the press swirling around the event, they managed to keep the time and location secret. He emailed the address—a private piece of land, which he had permission to use—to 200 women on Friday, hoping that 100 would show up. In spite of the precautions, Tunick anxiously discusses the possibility of Secret Service helicopters flying overhead or cops showing up.
But Tunick is prepared: He's been arrested five times while attempting to work outdoors in New York. "It would just be me they'd arrest—not the women—and Kristin knows what to do if that happens," he says as he packs up the car. He's written on his hand in black marker the mantra, "Calm, Focus, Tight."
"This reminds me of the old days when it used to just be you and me doing these in New York," Kristin says to her husband on the ride over. They've been organizing nude art installations since 1994; Tunick has been planning this particular one for three years.
Kristin usually stays in New York with their two daughters while Tunick does shoots around the world—he just got back from one in Hull, U.K. involving 3,000 people painted blue . But she says: "I had to be at this one. This one is important. I felt like I had to do something, as an artist and a woman. This is the first time I've felt so called to action."
Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, has been criticized for offensive comments about women, and his vice presidential pick, Mike Pence, signed one of the nation's most restrictive abortion laws as governor of Indiana.
The women start arriving at 6:20 a.m., tightly holding sheets as they walk up. Tunick asked them to bring a cover in case cops arrived and protested the public nudity, which is illegal in Ohio. His backup plan is to have some women make a wall of sheets along the property's perimeter.
After signing waivers, the women begin to introduce each other and chat. "This 65-and-a-half-year-old Jewish grandma wants to take the best picture I've ever taken," says Cleveland native Marsha Besuner Klausner, who arrives wearing an American flag pin and patriotic bandana wrapped around her sunhat. She says, for her, this isn't a political statement, and she declines to talk about the election at all.
For Cathy Scott, a Republican, being here is a message directly aimed at her party's presumptive nominee.
"Donald Trump has said so many outrageous, hateful, inflammatory things," Scott says. "He underestimated his female, Republican vote. I feel like he shot himself in the foot a little bit. I don't think he knows there's a black, single, 35-year-old mom, like me, who is listening to what he's saying. I don't think he knows I'm in his political party—and that's unfortunate."
Monica Giorgio, a 19-year-old nursing student who came straight from the night shift still wearing her teal scrubs, adds: "Because of his negative views on women. I think this is a great way to contrast that."
"For me, it's less about Trump and more about creating positive energy around the RNC and to create light where there
