The guys and gals at Rice in Houston celebrate nudity with a twist: "On the 13th of every month (and occasionally on the 31st or 26th for special occasions) at around 10 p.m. after liberal application of shaving cream, the Baker Third Entrance door bursts open to the screams of 'Thirteen! Join us! Thirteen!' followed by anywhere from 2 to 200+ (!) naked, creamy males and females. The two big runs are Halloween and the last run of the school year (April 26th), officially deemed the "Senior Run" for those who put off running it until the last possible moment. Fewer people run in December and January, when it can get to be 'this cold out.'" Sounds like a rite of passage.

2. "Primal Scream" at Harvard University
When the clock strikes midnight before day one of finals, students make a naked lap (or two) around the grassy Old Yard. The tradition is done during both semesters. Bless those souls who dare to streak in the colder months.
3. "Ledyard Challenge" at Dartmouth College
Throughout the summer, students strip and swim (in their birthday suits!) across the Connecticut River into Vermont and then dart over the bridge back to New Hampshire. Streaking is illegal in New Hampshire though, and students have "hidden out for hours on the Vermont side border" to avoid police.

A clothing-optional campus-wide shindig in the spring semester (traditionally held in May) at 680 Lomita, a co-op house on campus.
5. The Full Moon on The Quad at Stanford University
Under the first full moon of the fall quarter, freshmen and seniors swap tongues with as many partners as possible at the stroke of midnight. And of course, clothing is not required.
6. The Beltane at Synergy House at Stanford University
Every spring, the co-op puts on the Beltane festival, where, among other events, naked attendees indulge in body painting and perform symbolic "deflowering" ceremonies that include "frolicking in circles" around virgins.

7. Library Streaking at Davis Library During Finals at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
At UNC, some veteran streakers condemn the newbies and hark back to the spontaneity of unorganized nude runs: "Like any other Tar Heels game, the bi-annual finals week run draws hundreds of onlookers. Streakers run down each floor of Davis Library, outside into the student union, and then across the courtyard and into the Undergraduate Library, where they sing the alma mater. But the tradition has recently come under fire from its founders, who are angry that the event seems to have lost its shock value. When a Facebook event was created to advertise the streaking, some of the originals left a note at the streakers' meeting place condemning campus-endorsed streaking as an affront to everything streaking is supposed to be. The debate has raised an important question about the essential nature of the sport: is it really streaking without the element of surprise?"
8. Hamilton College Varsity Streaking Team
The upstate New York crew was undefeated in their prime in '04, successfully streaking a slew of private colleges, including Colgate University, Middlebury College, and Connecticut College. And no big deal: They made a documentary of their streaking travels called Buff & Blue.

Held in February, the nude celebration at the Ohio institution involves a week of

In recent years, the team has also streaked freshman orientation, a Psych 101 lecture, countless Super Bowl parties and a Fox News interview with former Massachusetts governor Jane Swift."

13. "Nudity in the Upspace" at Brown University
Held in October of each year, Nudity in the Upspace just took place this year September 28 through October 4. Events included a nude movie night and game night, a nude open mic night, nude yoga, body lectures, and nude theater. Co-coordinator, Cherise Morris, told the Daily Herald blog: "Nudity in the Upspace is a week of events, some clothing-optional, some required nudity and some completely clothed, where the goal of all of the workshops and performances is to create a safe space for the exploration, education and expansion of dialogue around issues directly related to bodies and nudity and indirectly related to bodies and nudity. So an example of something directly related would be body positivity, weight. Something indirectly related? Heterosexism."
