A PROTESTER in Portland put on a stark display in front of cops as she sat with her legs apart on Friday night.
In a video posted on Twitter, the naked protester was seen walking along the sidewalk before laying down in the road, kicking up her feet and doing multiple yoga and ballet poses.
The woman remains unidentified however she has been dubbed "Naked Athena" on social media.
She sat between the officers and other protesters wearing nothing but a face mask and beanie.
Dave Killen, a photographer for The Oregonian/Oregon Live, said everyone was astonished and surprised by the display.
Photos that Killen took of the event, along with a video from journalist Donovan Farley went viral on social media.

According to The Oregonian/Oregon Live , officers fired pepper balls at her feet.
Demonstrations and protests have been happening nearly every night in Portland since the death of George Floyd on May 25.
On Saturday night, protesters broke into a building, set it alight, and lit dumpster fires.
Police called the gathering "a riot" and used tear gas to clear the downtown area.
Portland May Ted Wheeler has slammed the federal response and growing presence in the city, claiming they have done more harm than good.
There are "dozens if not hundreds of federal troops descending upon our city, and what they're doing is they are sharply escalating the situation," Wheeler said.
"Their presence here is actually leading to more violence and more vandalism," he told CNN's Jake Tapper on State of the Union.
A separate protester ran in front of the woman with a makeshift shield in what appeared to be an attempt to protect her from the balls.
However, she quickly moved out from behind the shield.
Killen said he didn't hear her say a word the entire time.
Officers left roughly ten minutes after she arrived.
The "Naked Athena" left shortly after the officers did.
"She was incredibly vulnerable," Killen said. "It would have been incredibly painful to be shot with any of those munitions with no clothes on."

Who Is Naked Athena? Meet The Protestor Who Stripped Down In Front Of Police In Oregon

As Black Lives Matter and social justice protests continue throughout the US, another one happened on Friday night in Portland, Oregon — but this time, the protest made headlines for a seriously unexpected reason: One of the protestors was completely naked from head to toe, distracting police who had come to break up the gathering.
The woman has been dubbed Naked Athena, and she's grabbed the attention of people all over the world for her unconventional tactics.
Naked Athena took off her clothes at a protest over the weekend.
As photographer Dave Killen, who was at the protest, told media, it was almost 2 a.m. when Naked Athena arrived , wearing just a face mask and a cap. She appeared in the crosswalk, laying down in the street and lifting her legs, leaving everyone there "surprised and astounded."
“She was incredibly vulnerable,” he told the outlet. “It would have been incredibly painful to be shot with any of those munitions with no clothes on.”
When she arrived, the scene in Portland was beginning to turn dangerous.
Police were beginning to use force to break up the crowd with the Portland police tweeting that they'd deployed tear gas into the crowd . It seemed that Athena had shown up at exactly the right time to serve as a distraction, though Killen did say that they had fired pepper balls at her feet.
Police backed off when she showed up.
Surprisingly enough, Athena's appearance seemed to stun officers so much that they left the scene about 10 minutes after she'd arrived and Killen said that she did not speak, even when a fellow protestor attempted to step in front of her and try to shield her.

Since photos of Athena have hit the internet, people can't help but be curious about the naked woman. Photos of her have been circulating all over Twitter, piquing everyone's interest — especially since, amid all of this, she's somehow managed to remain anonymous.

The first mention of Athena online seems to be In journalist Donovan Farley's tweets, where he shared a video of the woman and called her by the nickname for the first time. It's not clear why he decided to call her that but given that in Greek mythology, Athena is the goddess of war , it seems like a very fitting choice.
Naked Athena's real identity is still a mystery.
So far, no one has come forward to take credit for being Athena — and no one has been able to figure out her true identity, either, which makes sense, since her face doesn't seem to have been captured in any of the photos circulating. We may never know who Naked Athena truly is unless she comes forward but there's no doubt these photos will live on as a symbol of the protests that have continued all summer long.

"NAKED Athena" who shocked Portland during the Black Lives Matter protest has said she felt like she was in the "eye of a storm."
The nude protester - who identified herself as a sex worker in her 30's called "Jen" - was caught on camera doing multiple yoga and ballet poses last week.
"Jen" told the Unrefined Sophisticates podcast that she is "notoriously naked" and said that her demonstration was "really calm and terrifying at the same time.
"It's like being in the eye of the storm," she said.
She added that the she felt "provoked and fired up" when she saw the officers standing "like they're warriors, and they're not.
"This fury arose in me… and I said I want to be naked, I want to confront them.
"I'm a sex worker. My nakedness is political and it is my expression."
"Jen", who said she had been shot in the foot by a crowd-control projectile, stripped down in a doorway to just a hat and face mask for her exhibition, while her partner held her clothes.
She added that her movements was her "wanting to show them what my version of vulnerability looks like."
However, aside from her unique way of doing so, she said that "the only thing we [protesters] have in common is we have masks on and we're out here at night.
"None of these people have weapons. Empty their pockets, take off their clothes—nobody has weapons here.
"I just wanted them to see what they’re shooting at."
Donald Trump has sent federal agents into the city to protect federal property from being vandalized, and has vowed to send more to different cities across the country.
"We'll go into all of the cities, any of the cities. We're ready. We'll put in 50,000, 60,000 people that really know what they're doing," Trump said during an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Thursday Night .
He later increased the figure to 75,000 agents, but said that local authorities must ask for federal help first.
"We have to be invited in," he said. "At some point we'll have to do something much stronger than being invited in."
