NXT Heatwave (2022)The 2022 NXT Heatwave was a professional wrestling television special produced by the American promotion WWE. This was the first Heatwave event held by WWE, as it was previously produced by the former Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion, which WWE acquired in 2003, thus making this the eighth Heatwave overall and the first since 2000 . The event was held for wrestlers from WWE's NXT brand division. It aired as a special episode of the NXT program on the USA Network and was broadcast live on August 16, 2022, from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Five matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Bron Breakker defeated JD McDonagh to retain the NXT Championship. In other prominent matches, Tony D'Angelo defeated Santos Escobar in a Street Fight, which banned Escobar from NXT, and in the opening bout, Carmelo Hayes defeated Giovanni Vinci to retain the NXT North American Championship.
NXT Heatwave (2023)The 2023 NXT Heatwave was the second Heatwave professional wrestling event produced by the American promotion WWE, and ninth overall. It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's NXT brand division. The event aired as a television special episode of the NXT program on the USA Network, and was broadcast live on August 22, 2023, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Five matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Carmelo Hayes defeated Wes Lee to retain the NXT Championship.
NXT Heatwave (2024)The 2024 NXT Heatwave was a professional wrestling event produced by the American company WWE. This was the third annual Heatwave produced by the company for its developmental brand NXT, and 10th Heatwave overall. The event took place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as part of Money in the Bank weekend. Unlike the prior two years, which were held as television specials, the 2024 event aired via WWE's livestreaming platforms, marking NXT's first livestreaming event to be held in Canada since NXT TakeOver: Toronto in 2019. Six matches were contested at the event, including one on the Countdown to Heatwave pre-show. In the main event, Ethan Page defeated previous champion Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears in a fatal four-way match to win the NXT Championship by pinning Evans. NXT Battleground (2024)The 2024 NXT Battleground (marketed as NXT Battleground: Las Vegas), was a professional wrestling event produced by WWE. It was the second annual Battleground held for the promotion's developmental brand NXT, and the seventh Battleground overall. In partnership with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), WWE's sister company under TKO Group Holdings, the event took place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the UFC Apex in the Las Vegas suburb of Enterprise, Nevada, marking WWE's first event held at the venue. The event aired via WWE's livestreaming platforms. Rapper Sexyy Red hosted the event. Six matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page to retain the NXT Championship. It was the third annual NXT Roadblock and the fifth Roadblock event overall. The event took place on March 5, 2024, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and aired live as a special episode of NXT on the USA Network. The event's title was a reference to its position on the road to NXT Stand & Deliver, NXT's WrestleMania Weekend event. Six matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Tony D'Angelo defeated Carmelo Hayes to become the #1 contender for the NXT Championship. In another prominent match, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) defeated Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria to retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, and in the opening contest, Dijak defeated Joe Gacy in an Asylum match. The event also featured the returns of Sol Ruca and Trick Williams.
NXT The Great American Bash (2024)The 2024 NXT: The Great American Bash was a two-part professional wrestling television special produced by WWE. It was the 12th Great American Bash under the WWE banner, the fifth annual produced specifically for its developmental brand NXT, and the 26th Great American Bash event overall. The two-part event took place on July 30 and August 6, 2024, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and aired as special episodes of NXT on Syfy, due to sister network USA's (NXT's regular network) coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics. This returned The Great American Bash to being a television special of NXT, like the events from 2020 to 2022, as the 2023 event aired via WWE's livestreaming platforms, and subsequently the first time since 2020 to air over two weeks. In addition to wrestlers from NXT, there were also appearances by wrestlers from WWE's Raw brand and partner promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which began a talent exchange arrangement with NXT in June 2024. Ten matches were contested on Week 1 of the event, with four taped for future episodes of Level Up. In the televised main event, Roxanne Perez defeated Thea Hail to retain the NXT Women's Championship. In another prominent match, which was the opening bout, The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) defeated Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend) to retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. For Week 2, ten matches were contested at the event, with four taped for future episodes of Level Up. In the televised main event, Axiom and Nathan Frazer defeated MSK (Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz) to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship, leading to Lee's heel turn for the first time ever. In other prominent matches, TNA wrestler Joe Hendry defeated Joe Coffey, and Ethan Page defeated Oro Mensah to retain the NXT Championship.
NXT The Great American Bash (2025)The 2025 Great American Bash is an upcoming professional wrestling livestreaming event produced by WWE. It will be the 13th Great American Bash under the WWE banner, the sixth annual produced specifically for its developmental brand NXT, and the 27th Great American Bash event overall. The event will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. It will have a special start time of 3:00 p.m. ET, putting it head-to-head against All Elite Wrestling (AEW)'s biggest annual pay-per-view event, All In.
