In a stunning twist just days before the 2025 NFL Draft, ESPN’s latest mock draft has Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy skyrocketing into the top three picks, with the Minnesota Vikings orchestrating a massive trade-up to secure their franchise QB.

According to insiders, the Vikings are finalizing a deal with the New England Patriots (holding the No. 3 pick) to move up from their current spot at No. 11. The projected cost? Multiple first-round picks, a 2026 second-rounder, and star wide receiver Justin Jefferson in a blockbuster player-for-pick swap.
