NFL Football Betting Preseason Betting Guide - Part 1

You are missing out on an opportunity to build your bankroll for the regular season if you don't take part in NFL Football Betting activities during preseason. link 7meter A lot of people have grown a taste to NFL Football Betting during preseason, as no other time in any other sport do head coaches reveal player rotations and game plans beforehand and then more or less stick to them.

However, there are still a few people who refuse to bet on these exhibition games, not knowing that they are missing out on really great opportunities that do not present themselves during the NFL regular season, which has the sharpest lines of any sport.

It is a very novice mindset to think that preseason games are very much like the regular season games. It will be clear that not all coaches are interested in winning these games. Some prefer to focus on the team's weaknesses. Knowing which one is best can help you build your bankroll in just four weeks.

We will be looking at the coaches who love to win and are expected to do well this season. Additionally, we will examine the week-specific trends of the 12 pre-seasons that began in 2000. Each week is unique.

There are four coaches that you should watch closely during the entire preseason and they are Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins, Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers, John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens and Jim Schwartz of the Detroit Lions.

For the coach that has the most career preseason wins, it's none other than Shanahan and he is 46-22 straight-up with the Denver Broncos and the Redskins combined. More importantly from an NFL football betting perspective, his teams are 28-16-1, 63.6 percent against the spread since 2000. Last preseason, his Redskins were 3-1 straight up and ATS.

Tomlin on the other hand is 16-5 straight up in preseason ever since he took over as head coach of the Steelers in 2007 while going 13-8, 61.9 percent ATS in those games. Something else that stands out about Tomlin is that he is a perfect 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in Pre-Week 4, a week when most coaches do not allow their starters to see the field.

Harbaugh is currently 11-5 SU and 9-7 ATS in his role as coach of the Ravens. He has a record of 10-2 on the field, and 8-4, 66.7% at the betting windows over the past three years. Schwartz wanted to install a winning attitude for his formerly hapless lions in preseason, so he is 10-2 SU and 9-3, 75.0 percent ATS ever since he took over in 2008, including a perfect 4-0 both SU an ATS with a good Lions' team last year.
