Mike James (basketball, born 1990)Michael Perry James (born August 18, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the LNB Élite and the EuroLeague. He was a high school basketball standout playing for Grant High School in Portland, and played college basketball for Eastern Arizona College and Lamar University. James was the first player in NBA history to go from a two-way contract to a regular contract, all while never being sent down to the NBA G League in the process. James started his professional career in Europe in 2012 and is five-time All-EuroLeague selection. James was the EuroLeague scoring champion in 2019. Since 2024, James is the all-time scoring leader in EuroLeague history. He was also named EuroLeague MVP of the 2023–24 season.

2023–24 EuroCup BasketballThe 2023–24 EuroCup Basketball season was the 22nd season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It was the 16th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the first season under the new title sponsorship name of BKT The season began on 3 October 2023 and will end at the latest on 17 April 2024 with the Finals. Dreamland Gran Canaria were the defending champions after refusing to take part in the 2023–24 EuroLeague via spot granted to the title holders, but were eliminated in eighthfinals. Paris Basketball swept Mincidelice JL Bourg to achieve its first continental crown by winning its first EuroCup title in an almost perfect season with 22 wins and only one loss balance that earned it the right to secure a spot in the 2024–25 EuroLeague. It was also the second French side to win the EuroCup after AS Monaco triumph in the 2020–21 season.

2024–25 EuroLeagueThe 2024–25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 25th season of the modern era of the EuroLeague, and the 15th under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this is the 68th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. The season began on 3 October 2024 and will end on 25 May 2025 with the Final Four. The Final Four will be held at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, which marks the first time in European basketball history that the game is played outside of the continent. For the fourth straight season, CSKA Moscow had their EuroLeague license rescinded following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Additionally, for the second consecutive season due to the war in Gaza, Maccabi Tel Aviv played abroad during the season, principally at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade; the majority of games were played behind closed doors. This will be the second straight season under the new format with the play-in tournament for seventh- to tenth-placed teams in the regular season. Panathinaikos are the defending champions, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by Fenerbahçe in the semifinal. Fenerbahçe went on to win its first title in 8 years, after beating first-time finalists Monaco in the championship game.
2024–25 LNB Élite seasonThe 2024–25 LNB Élite season, also known as Betclic Élite for sponsorship reasons, is the 103rd season of the LNB Élite, France's top basketball league. It began on 20 September 2024 with the regular season and will conclude at the latest on 24 June 2025 with the playoffs. AS Monaco is the back-to-back defending champion.
