If you are a USC faculty, student, or staff member, or a university guest with computing privileges, use this website to activate your USC NetID account (First Login), change your USC NetID password, reset a forgotten password, or set a secondary email for your USC NetID account.
All USC faculty, staff, and students receive a USC NetID account that enables them to access a wide variety of computing resources at USC.
Your USC NetID password is also referred to as your USC password, your UNIX password, and your enterprise password. It is the password that is associated with your USC computing account.
ITS provides USC faculty and staff Microsoft Office 365, a modern collaboration platform that includes a full-featured email system with web access, integrated calendaring, a campus contacts directory, support for mobile device access, 50 gigabytes of email storage, and 1 terabyte of document storage.
Google Drive for Faculty and Staff is a cloud storage service that allows users to upload, create, edit, and work collaboratively with others on a variety of documents online. The service comes with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, a collection of apps designed for developing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files stored on Google Drive.
Organizational and specialty accounts allow departments and faculty/staff organizations affiliated with the university to provide information and services via a Microsoft Office 365 account.
Google Apps at USC for Students is the name of USCโ€™s student installation of Google Apps for Education, a suite of online software applications that Google offers to educational institutions and non-profit organizations. The package includes Gmail (Googleโ€™s email program), Web-based word processing and spreadsheet programs, sharable calendars, chat, and more.
Student organizations that are recognized by the university can apply for a computing account to be used for organization email and web pages.
USCโ€™s Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC) provides advanced computational research support to USC students, faculty and staff. When the needs of researchers exceed the capabilities of a personal computer, the CARC offers its support. Examples of services offered include high-performance computing, data storage and analysis, cloud computing, secure computing for sensitive data, research computing workshops, and customized research partnerships.
