When Jo arrives in Portia, she’s not sure what to expect. Despite her confident nature, Jo isn’t completely sure how to live out the life her father has left for her. But along the way she meets Arlo, the Captain of the Civil Corps - and their draw to each other is instant. However, both just pin each other as merely a friend and "nothing more." And yet, they continue to fall into situations that suggest otherwise.
Who's Gonna Take You Home largely focuses on a relationship between two friends who find themselves constantly dancing around one another. However, it's also a story dedicated to Jo's journey as she finds her place in her new life and how that changes her and those around her.
Licity's move to Portia wasn't necessarily planned, but now that she's moved here she couldn't imagine life any other way. While her goal was to restore her Pa's old workshop to glory and establish herself as a capable builder, life has a silly little habit of getting in the way...

Moved out to Portia wasn’t a bad idea. Living on new land for a guarantee of fattening his wallet was one of lucky chance, not to mention a sudden revelation of a free accommodation which was inherited by the man who he thought had vanished into thin air years ago. Well, beggar can’t be choosers anyway. All he had to pursue was every way to increase his fortune even if he had to toss away his pride.

The new builder has a dark past. One that she is reluctant to share with anyone from Portia. But when a certain redheaded captain manages to break down the walls she has around her heart, she may be forced to reconsider.
Arlo and Ben expand their family a bit more than they planned.
The civil corps has a run in with a gang of Masked Feinds in the ruins. Ollie gets hit with a different kind of dart and looses all his senses. The civil corps works together to care for their own as he recovers his senses one by one.
Arlo finds out he's pregnant. He and Ben work through it together.
