My Run Away

My Run Away

Delilah's homelife is not easy nor like everyone else's. She lives with her father and older brother ever since her mom passed away from cancer. Her father was never a good man but after her mom passed he would take his anger out on Delilah. He became a drunk and abusive towards Delilah. He would never hurt her brother, Mike, even if he did something horrible.

She finally had enough of their abuse and decided to run away while her dad was passed out drunk and her brother was out. She thought this was her only chance to get away from this hell hole she lived in. She quickly packs her bags and packs a few snacks to have along her journey. She quietly sneaks out the front door without any noise. She starts to run even though she has no idea where she's going to go. She eventually gets tired, so she takes a break in an alleyway. She didn't know going into that one alleyway would change her life forever.

As she sits against the wall in the darken alley drinking water to calm her heavy breathing, a man sees her in the distances and slowly approaches her. When he gets closer to her, the man looks her over. He softly clears his throat to get her attention. She gets startled and looks over at the man.

"Who...who are you...?" She stutters out her breathe is shaky.

"No need to worry. I just happen to see you here and wondered if you were okay" He softly smiles and holds his hands up to let her know he's not going to hurt her.

"I'm fine. Thank you." She says as she stands up.

"Why are you here if you don't mind me asking?" He tries to asks before she walked away from him. She looks over at him and softly sighs.

"Well to put it frank, I'm running away and I don't want to hear you trying to tell me it's a bad idea. You don't know me so you can't possibly know if it's a good or bad idea." She says bluntly.

"Well you're very up front about that. You're not wrong ma'am I don't know you, but I'd like to help you out if you wish." He says kindly.

"How would you help me and why? You don't know me." She says while taking a step back not sure what he will do to her.

"I have a place for you. For people like you. You probably have no idea where you're going or how far you're going. If you come with me, I promise whoever or whatever you're running from will not find you." He says assuringly and he holds out his hand for her to take it.

She is very suspicious about this entire encounter, but she knows he's right about not knowing where to go. She thinks for a few seconds then gives in.

"Fine I'll go with you." She says and starts walking in the direction he came from.

He follows behind her and soon catches up to her walk. He leads her to the place he was talking about. They approach the building but she stops in her tracks. She looks up at the building and gets an unnerving feeling in her gut. The place is an abandoned warehouse that looks like it's about to fall apart at any second. She starts to think maybe this was a bad idea. The man notices that she stopped and turns back to look at her. He walks to her and softly puts his arm behind her back gently pushing her to walk forward.

They walk together inside the warehouse. She looks around and notices that it looks nothing like the outside does. The inside is very clean and well taken care of. There are a tons of men in black walking around. The man leads her to a specific room and she follows behind him. As she walks, she looks around the place some more. She notices in one area there are men fighting with each other. She gets startled and starts to walk faster.

The man leads her to the room and pushes her down on her knees. She gasps out loud when he does. She notices that she's not alone in this room because there's a line of guys that are kneeling just like her with someone behind them. She looks down at the ground as she thinks she's about to die. She's never been scared of death because she's thought about taking her own life before. As she gets lost in her thoughts about what is going to happen, she hears a door slam shut and footsteps approach the line.

She doesn't look up as she's afraid to see who is there. The man behind her starts to talk to the person that walked in.

"Sir, these are the people we found that fit into your description." He says firmly.

"I see. Take the boys and make them apart of the gang and show them the ways." He says and the men take the boys out of the room.

He notices Delilah and approaches her and the man behind her. Delilah sees his shoes in front of her. She looks up and sees the man before her. He's 6'5 with black hair that is shaved on the sides but longish on top. He has a built, athletic type body. He's wearing a black button up shirt with the top 3 buttons unbuttoned with black dress pants on. He has a few tattoos peaking out of his sleeves. She assums that he's probably in his late 20s early 30s. The thing she notices the most is his piercing blue eyes staring into hers.

"Stand up" He simply says.

Delilah doesn't stand up as she's to afraid to. The man behind her pulls her up by her arm forcing her to stand up. As she stands up, the man in front of her can see her fully. He assumes she's probably in her early 20s. She's 5'0 with brown almost amber hair that comes down to her shoulders. She has meat on her bones but in the right places. She's wearing skinny jeans that have holes in the knees with a plain grey v-neck on that hugs her curves. He looks into her blue/green hazel eyes and softly smirks.

"What would you like me to do with her sir?" The man behind her says.

"I guess you can make her a cleaner. She's too fragile looking to be apart of the gang." He says back.

"Cleaner?? Gang?? Where the hell am I?" She says confused.

"I'm sorry I never introduced myself. My name is Luke and I run this gang here." The man in front of her says smirking.

"Okay so Luke, why am I here? I just wanted to get away from my family and this dude approached me saying to follow him. I did but now I'm regretting it so can you just let me go?" She begs.

"I'm sorry but that won't do. You know who I am now and you could go to the police and have me and my men arrested. I can't risk that." Luke says sternly.

"I promise I won't tell. I mean you no harm. I just wanted to get away from my abusive father is all. I didn't know where I was going but I knew if I didn't get out now then I wouldn't have gotten out at all." She speaks truthfully hoping it will help.

He softly sighs and motions for the man behind her to leave them. He nods and leaves the room. Luke looks at her and steps forward so he's towering over her.

"Look Ms... what's your name?"

"Delilah"

"Delilah... Pretty name but anyways look I can't have you leaving this place now that you know it's existence. If you don't want to be a cleaner then I'll give you another job."

"And what job would that be?" She steps back nervously.

"I'm single. I'm guessing you're single otherwise you would be going to them. I'll give you the job of keeping me company."

"Keeping you company? What does that even mean Luke?"

"It means exactly what it means. You'd keep me company when I'm lonely or bored or whatever." He shrugs softly then smiles.

She looks into his piercing blue eyes again and she can feel herself wanting to trust this stranger. She doesn't know if she can bring herself to trust him or not. She softly sighs as she tries to figure out how to respond to him. After a few seconds of just staring into each other eyes, she comes up with her answer.

"Fine, I'll keep you company on one condition." She says.

"What condition would that be?" He crosses his arms over his chest.

"No. Sex." She says bluntly.
