On June 14, 2014, i signed my contract to become a My New Maid contractor. This was my first time venture in this industry and was looking forward to the opportunity to manage my own schedule as a contractor while making some money as a home cleaner with My New Maid. What an absolute dissapointment!
My "training coach" was Joshua Blancett. The first couple of weeks within the contractual partnership he was so very helpful and successfully booked me for 3 homes 6/18, 6/20, and 6/21. Per my conversation with him during the interview he indicated that invoices for homes cleaned to be submitted on the 1st and 15th, so as I attempted to email and call him regarding general invoice questions I was unsuccessful in any type of response. I took to my signed contract for further clarification and discovered that invoices could be submitted at any time...to allow for 10 days processing. Therefore, I sent the invoices on July 1st expecting payment at the latest July 15th. In the meantime, several emails and phone messages were left with Joshua and HR, none of which were ever returned. Needless to say, I did not recieve any more bookings for any more jobs and long story short...NEVER received payment for services rendered. Second week of July I emailed Joshua Blancett my termination of contract and the invoices (in case he didnt get them for whatever reason), to which again...no response or confirmation of receipt.
What I find most disturbing other than the undeniable fact that they are illegally using humans for FREE LABOR, is that when I went for my interview in the nice Dallas offices on LBJ I was 1 of at least 6 females there looking to gain employment. Here we are willing to do anything legitimate to pay our bills and feed our families cleaning peoples dirty toilets with the end result being dissapointed and hurt due to the wasted time and additional monies used for gas and cleaning supplies. Not only did I not get paid for the 70% of revenue per booking as per my contract, but I was NOT even offered reimbursment for the $150 I spent on getting a brand new vacumm (per recommendation of Joshua Blancett) and supplies. He told me, "I bought a new vacuum from best buy along with the warranty and whenver it goes out...I take it back and replace it for FREE." I should have known then...
I am not the type of individual that post negative comments on the internet....but when I saw the other Rip Off Report on this company it served as confirmation that what happened to me has happened to other women. At least she got an email indicating a "bankruptcy". I got nothing! This is sad and chances are there will be some sort of Class Action Lawsuit against this company.
Advice for any person looking for a means to gain financial resources...do your homework and be very careful-And AVOID any business with My New Maid.

This is the most interaction I have received from My New Maid since the 3rd and LAST booking I received as a contractor back in 6/21. It is too bad it is to cover the reputation they seem to think they have.
...I worked 3 bookings, never got paid for the 3 bookings. I did not quit with any bookings on my calendar.
I welcome whoever is writing these rebuttles to look into the MNM system to verify this information. Perhaps this is a result of lower level supervisory/managment negligence?
At any rate...I am sure this company had the potential to be a great company. I just was not someone that experienced this and was taken for free Labor. Horrible feeling and will most definitely do my homework before engaging in such an opportunity in the future.
Fortunately, we all get back what we give.
My New Maid Best Company to work for
My New Maid is the Best Company to work for. They pay on time and weekly. Just dont quit without notice because they will charge you 50% for the bookings they have to rebook for a week.
Who is Mark Williams? This is the question I am asking. In every documented attempt made to contact ANYONE at the company designated as My New Maid was I ever notified by such a person.
I needed the money and resorted to cleaning homes to make ends meet, but I suppose these are thetype of people that are main targets for such predators.
I made every attempt to communicate...again ALL documented and went over 1 month without pay before sending an email to service@mynewmaid.com (as this is the only contact provided) an email with my notice of termination due to non-payment. The rebuttal and all claims therein are absolutely preposterous...including the statement of monies owed back to them! Wow...once again...confirmation of this company being a huge scam.
How difficult is it to just pay a contractor $329.00 for services rendered? Really? You collected $ from the persons getting their homes cleaned! If the public only knew who they were dealing with....Shame.

We pay 70% of the price of a booking. Our contract is in black and white and was signed by this contractor. She cleaned three homes and than quit without giving a 1 week notice as outlined in her contract. By not giving a one week notice she was charged 50% of the bookings she already had on her schedule for the week.
Quit and abandoned $1,050.00 in bookings. Charged 50% - $525.00

The acting, sets and locations were amazing, however its the story which is haunting me. The fact this story has resonated with so many people is comforting yet also heartbreaking. I WAS that mother. Same age, same socio-economic position, same partner, dysfunctional parents. I loved nature. The thing that hurts the most is I had the same potential. I had university scholarships but was still too poor to finish. I'm still essentially a 'Maid'. But my son is at University. This story hurts my soul. Not all stories are meant to make you feel good but that is so many peoples realities. This Series is about LIFE. And that is why it is amazing.
