This is a page dedicated to a lost episode of My Life as a Teenage Robot called: "Jenny's Depression". Over the years, this episode was gradually revealed, with several files about the episode leaked on the internet.
This message was from when it all started. In which a boy named Brian Davestone got the tape that contained the episode after a tour of Nickelodeon Studios. Read this message to understand everything:
Hi. My name is Quentin Johnson I'm 8 years old and I'm a big fan of the Nickelodeon series "My Life as a Teenage Robot".
I was really a fan! I collected DVDs of the series and created my own action figures from the series. Jenny was my favorite character. I always laugh at the scenes with Tuck. But there was a day when I almost stopped being a fan of the series. The reason is a cassette tape that contains a lost and disturbing episode of My Life as a Teenage Robot called: "Jenny's Depression".
I got this tape on September 3, 2005, when I decided to tour Nickelodeon Studios. That day I had met Rob Renzetti. He was a very nice person! I explained to him that I was the number 1 fan of the series, so he decided to let me go behind the scenes of the series. I was super HAPPY! Well now I was able to discover some spoilers of unreleased episodes and see how the episodes were made. They even had test animations! However, I had seen a chest inside the animation room, which had a message written: "Private Property: Do Not Open" I sneaked over to the chest and decided to dig through the chest to see what was inside and see if it had anything to do with MLaaTR. Well, that's what a fan would do, right?
Fortunately, I found an MLaaTR tape! However I noticed that on the label of the tape it says: "My Life as a Teenage Robot: Jenny's Depression - Property of Nickelodeon Studios". I ignored this message and thought it was no big deal. After the tour, I quickly went to my room to watch the tape, then I put the tape in my VHS player and started watching it.
After the opening, the episode title appeared. The episode's name was "Jenny's Depression", the same name that appeared on the tape's label! And the background showed Jenny looking out the window and holding a knife hinting at suicide. And I noticed that in the opening credits, there was a name I didn't know from the MLaaTR team. Andrew Skinner.
After that bizarre and disturbing title, the episode finally begins. The episode starts with Jenny leaving the classroom, super annoyed and waiting for Brad in the hallways. Brad arrives in the halls and notices that Jenny is pissed off. He asked her:
"Jenny, what is going on? Is there a problem?"
Jenny responds to Brad by pointing her thumb to the Crust Cousins:
"They're the problem. Every time I come here, they always come up with a plan to annoy me!"
Brad responds: "Gee... I didn't know they irritated you so much..."
Afterwards, Jenny responds in an angry voice and her eyes filled with tears:
"OF COURSE THEY ANNOY ME SO MUCH! IF THE CRUST COUSINS DON'T TRY TO PLAY AGAINST ME THE ONLY WAY IS TO ISOLATE ME!!"
And then she runs off to her house. Brad is confused as he has never seen Jenny with such a high level of hate. Even I was confused as it was a super dark dialogue context for the series.
After the dialogue, Jenny comes home, still annoyed, and when Nora Wakeman (Jenny's mom) says hi to Jenny, she ignores her wordlessly, heading straight to her room. Nora didn't understand anything and didn't care what had happened.
The camera cuts to Jenny sleeping in her room, however, she is having flashbacks to all the times when Tiff and Brittany played with her, causing her to feel uneasy. She ends up waking up.
She said: "That's enough! I've had enough of this silly scene every day. I'll work it out my way."
The next day, Jenny had just entered school. And of course, the Crust Cousins were up against her. Tiff had set up a bucket of water to pour over Jenny while Britt tidied up the knickknack so Jenny wouldn't notice. Well, it's very obvious. Robots break down when they come in contact with water.
Jenny was approaching, and that was when Britt activated the trap. After being caught, she ended up having a system crash and her screws started to come loose. Everyone at school was laughing non-stop at her. Until she started to get angry. The maximum. Then, Jenny approached Tiff and had her by the neck.
Tiff: "Jenny? What's going on? What are you doing to me???"
Afterwards, Her right hand transform into a gun, she pointed it at Tiff and the only words she said were:
"You messed with the wrong robot..."
And shot Tiff right in the head, splattering blood everywhere.
Britt was traumatized by what she saw and ran to Tiff, who was now dead, and cried a lot.
"WHY??? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO HER JENNY??" Brittany said.
Desperate Britt ran out to get away from Jenny. But without success. Jenny manages to shoot Brittany. Soon after, she turned to everyone around and said:
"Whoever laughed at this silly prank deserves to die! Everyone laughed at what I saw. So, EVERYBODY IS GOING TO BE KILLED!!!"
All the students at the school ran in desperation from Jenny. The screams were distorted and loud. And of course, Jenny manages to shoot them all.
The scene lasts 30 seconds and then a time cut scene appears saying "5 minutes later". After this scene, the camera cuts to all the dead students in the school's hallways. Jenny leaves school in good spirits, she retreats her weapons in her body and change her hands back to normal and says:
"Well, they deserved it. They really annoyed me the most. That's how I treat them."
The students' parents came to pick them up at school, however, they realized that they were murdered. They were disturbed by what they saw. Then they saw Jenny in the school hallways, putting her weapons away. From here they realized that she was the one who killed the students. Jenny flew out fast so they don't catch her. The students' parents immediately called the police, explaining the massacre. They also gave her home address, as if they were Jenny's fans and knew her life very well.
Jenny heard everything and began to reflect:
"What did I do? How did I become... ...a monster?? Now everyone... ...will hate me..."
Nora asked Jenny why she rushed home. "XJ9?? What are you doing in such a hurry???"
Jenny tried to find an excuse, as she wanted to hide from her mother that she committed a massacre at school. Nora started to analyze Jenny's hands and noticed that she had something red on her hands. She began to suspect.
"Can you explain to me what that red thing in your hand is?"
"Oh mom, it was just ketchup! I was having a snack at school, and I ended up sneezing on my hands..."
It was at that moment that a news story began to appear in the news about the school massacre committed by Jenny. The news was on TV. Nora began to understand that it was Jenny who did the killing and that the red thing on her hands was blood...
"Errr... Sorry, Mom. I think i've gone mad this time." Said Jenny.
Nora started to be angry at her and yelled at her pushing her.
"Gone mad?? GONE MAD??? YOU COMMITTED A SERIOUS CRIME XJ9!!! ARE YOU A VILLAIN TO KILL PEOPLE OUT THERE????"
Jenny tried to explain, but Nora didn't listen and left her grounded in the room, indefinitely, because Nora thought she started having psychopathic thoughts, and to prevent more serious things from happening, she did it. Jenny, started to be angry with her mother, and ran to her room, breaking everything.
She started to cry insanely. She couldn't stop crying. Until she started crying loudly!!! Making me turn down the volume on the TV. And when she started to cry "screaming", Jenny's screams were distorted and Jenny was staring at the screen and with a very realistic face, like a girl's head, instead of Jenny's head. Now I was more disturbed than I already was!!!
After this scene, Jenny begins to write in her diary, all the suffering she is going through and vents about the slaughter:
"Dear diary, today was the saddest and most disturbing day of my life... I was kind of depressed because of the pranks of the Crust cousins. Apparently, they like to make fun of me... That made me kill them and also, everyone who laughed at this prank. Now everyone will think I'm a monster! They even called the police to take me to jail and wanted to give me life in prison! Even my mother hates me..."
Then she sighed crying and continued writing
"So I want to give a message to everyone who reads this message: "If you see this message , at this very moment... I will be dead."
And finished writing in her diary. I was traumatized by the situation that Jenny was going through. I would never have imagined that she would go into a depression because of the Crust cousin's mockery!
Then, Jenny had seen a knife beside her bed and picked it up, hinting that she was going to commit suicide. The last words she said were, "Goodbye, everyone. You can live without me!"
And indeed Jenny had killed herself. She stuck the knife she had taken into her head. And at the exact moment she puts the knife to her head, once again Jenny's face was distorted and with several messages saying: "Jennifer... I miss you..." I had paid attention to the messages and started to question : Who is Jennifer??? What does this girl have to do with the episode???. Jenny's distorted face scene lasts for 3 seconds. Then the camera cuts to Jenny lying in bed, dead and bleeding from oil. The cutscene lasts for 10 seconds, the scene fades to black, giving a transition effect that the show usually uses. Now I was scared to watch MLaaTR episodes at night, because this episode was pretty dark for me!
After this scene, Sheldon arrives at Jenny's house, as he noticed that the robot girl was missing. He knocked on the door of the house, as Mrs Wakeman went to answer it. Sheldon said:
"Hi Mrs Wakeman! I'd like to ask your daughter for a walk. Is she home?"
"No, she's grounded!" Said Mrs Wakeman. She went on to explain:
"Today, at school, she started having an existential crisis, then she became a psychopath and went out killing everyone. That's why I had to lock her inside the house, and if you're asking when I'm going to release her, I'll release her if she stop CRAZYING! Now bye!"
And slammed the door right in Sheldon's face.
"I won't give up asking her out! Brad has been worrying about her for like a long time! I'll do it for him, and for me!" Sheldon said.
Then he started trying to get inside Jenny's house without Nora's permission. He tried to break down the door, climb the walls, enter through the windows. At least Jenny's bedroom window was open. So Sheldon managed to get into the house, however, it was too late... Jenny was dead in her bed. Sheldon noticed Jenny's death. He knelt down and started to feel sad.
"Jenny??? What happened to you??? Why did you leave us??? Why did you leave me???? You didn't deserve this!!" Sheldon said.
Then he started crying quite loudly and distortedly. And of course, I turned the volume down because I don't want my eardrums burst. Then Sheldon saw the knife Jenny used to commit suicide and did the same thing Jenny did. Killed himself... Apparently he didn't want to be away from Jenny, so he killed himself to be together again.
Soon after, Brad and Tuck arrived at Jenny's house as well. They noticed that Sheldon was taking so long to show up. So they also decided to enter. But of course, Nora locked the front door.
"What now? How are we going to get into her house if Mrs Wakeman locked the door??"
Then Tuck kicked the door open. He kicked hard but so hard that he even broke the door. Literally.
"Done! I figured it out, now I'm leaving. Have fun with your little girlfriend!" Said Tuck, walking out.
Brad got angry and forced Tuck to go along with him.
"No! No way! You broke down the door, now you're coming with me!"
When they entered Jenny's room, they saw Sheldon dead with the knife stabbing him in the chest. Brad didn't understand any of what was happening. That's when he saw Jenny's diary open. So he decided to read it to understand better. He read everything Jenny had written at that time. That's when he remembered that time when Jenny was being bullied and going into a state of depression.
He mourned Jenny's death and began to cry too. Tuck saw it all and cried too, but Tuck went into a crying fit and couldn't stop crying. Then Brad snapped over the loss of his two best friends. He snatched the knife from Sheldon's chest, and in a quick pace, he slash his own throat, causing amount of bl
