Well, i don?t know if there is a size limitation, but i installed an mSata Samsung evo SSD with 250GB on mine laptop which is the same as yours, my MSI GE60 2PE "flies" and 5 seconds to boot in Windows 8 .1 64x . If you are going to install an mSata SSD i advise you to make a clean install of Windows SO on the SSD and not use any SO migration tool .
