LOS ANGELES -- Judith Marrow of Westwood, a 5-foot-8-inch brown-eyed brunette, stepped 'out of the closet' to win the 15th annual Ms. Nude International 1987.

Marrow, with measurements of 35-25-35, was the favorite of the record-breaking crowd of 2,413 who gathered under sunny skies Sunday at Treehouse Fun Ranch in Devore, Calif., about 60 miles north of Los Angeles.

First runner-up was Becky Maire, a 5-foot-4-inch, green-eyed brunette and electronic designer from Seattle, Wash. Mona Buchanan of Kansas City, Mo., came in third.

'I am an out-of-the-closet nudist for 17 months now,' said Marrow, an English major at Riverside City College and a mother of two. 'But before that I lived as a nudist in my home with my family and outdoors whenever we were alone.'

Marrow was one of 11 finalists competing before a panel of seven judges consisting of Jack Herzberg, a veteran producer for the television soap opera The Days of Our Lives; Marlene Lava, pageant director for the annual Miss Costa Rica contest; Skip Young, a veteran TV and radio performer, including 11 years on the Ozzie and Harriet Show; Vicki Van Hook, executive producer of the Beach Girls of the World Pageant; Joe Markham, a costume designer at NBC-TV for the past 16 years; and Lloyd Gaynes, vice president of daytime programming for ABC-TV.

Chosen Mr. Nude International the previous week was Del Gabby Reed of East St. Louis, Ill. Reed is a veteran motion picture star featured in 82 Westerns.
