We invite you to learn more about the Solanco School District. Explore the history of the Solanco area, the geography of its beautiful farmland, the local economy, the leadership of the school district, and how the community can support Solanco students.
Delineated on this site is Solanco’s Dignity Honored initiative, which represents a commitment to continuous improvement of our anti-harassment/anti-discrimination efforts at all schools.
This website is designed to provide parents and community members with an overview of Solanco’s efforts in this area both historically and currently. In addition, this site shows how the multiple programs and initiatives implemented at each school level contribute to a supportive and caring school district environment.
At Solanco, we strive to treat every child as if he/she was our own. Doing so keeps us focused on the enormous potential in each child and causes us to do everything in our power to enable students to succeed. We will never underestimate a child; instead, we have and always will continue to stress that each child who walks through the doors at Solanco is capable of great achievements. We are grateful for the opportunity you have provided us to work with your children.
Solanco’s multiple departments are committed to one goal: providing the best possible education for all students. Each department works to provide great service while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Further, each department is committed to being responsive to questions and concerns, so parents and community members are encouraged to reach out when needed for a prompt response.
The Solanco athletic program is an integral part of the education program. It is designed to provide student-athletes with opportunities to develop and advance their physical, mental, emotional and social capabilities through participation in interscholastic sports. It is recognized that the athletic program may provide as much positive influence in a student’s development as an academic area.
Solanco provides many digital tools to all students free of charge to enhance learning This includes the full Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams). Students are also provided Google accounts including most Google Apps such as Calendar, Docs, Drive, Hangouts, and Sites. Student Google Drive includes unlimited storage. Solanco Virtual Academy (SVA) students can access their courses here, plus students can also access other important applications such as SeeSaw, Schoology, Read Naturally, and PowerSchool.
Solanco embraces partnerships with parents to provide the best possible education for children. Located to the left are frequently requested links by parents. These tools help parents keep track of upcoming events, access key academic information about their child, and access our enrollment portal. We encourage parents to contact us directly for any questions they may have.
The links to the left provide access to key resources for Solanco employees. These resources include access to Frontline Absence Management, the CSIU Staff Portal, important training information, health care plan documents, and information about Solanco’s Employee Assistance Program.
Working with children to enable them to reach their potential is one of the most important and rewarding careers a person could choose. At Solanco, we seek to hire difference-makers. Those committed to children, to connecting with them, to inspiring them. Whether you teach, prepare cafeteria food, tutor, or help in a classroom, your days will be fulfilling and your impact will be notable.
